My parents are elderly and needed some plumbing work done around their house: fix a leaky tap, replace sink taps and replace some wall taps for a washing machine.

Dave did excellent work and sent us photos after the job was done.

He was really friendly and good with my parents.

We would recommend Dave for any plumbing work and would not hesitate to hire him again.

I called Dave after noticing a leak at my water softener. Called at 10am on a Friday and it was fixed within a few hours. Dave realized I was in a bit of a desperate situation as I was forced to shut off the water, and juggled his day to accommodate.

This is the third time I’ve used Shortt Stop Plumbing and would highly recommend.

It was Saturday night and we had no hot water almost no water was coming from the tap. I went to the basement and shut down the heater because it was gas fired and I was afraid what might happen. I called Shortt Stop Plumbing and he said he would be at our house in the morning at 10am! That would be Sunday !! He actually came at 9:30 am and went right to work. He said that the pipe in the water heater was clogged and replaced the clocked tube and redid the pipes going to the water heater; the water heater is now neat and tidy and works perfectly. We needed help and Dave the plumber came, on a Sunday would you believe. This is service that goes beyond.

Our kitchen sink needed to be repaired after it fell down (poorly installed by the builder.) David repaired it promptly and was very courteous and professional. I highly recommend his services and am very confident that our sink will stay in place for a while.

I had called Dave to sort out a mystery leak in a bathroom sink at a rental property. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and comes well equipped. He rate was fair and I would definitely call him again and recommend his services.

Dave Shortt is the best. He's done a bunch of jobs in our house and is, in no particular order: exacting, thorough, bloody smart, afraid of nothing, well-priced, jovial, did I mention thoroughly an expert in his work? We are so glad and grateful we found a plumber we can trust.

David was prompt, polite, conscientious and a perfectionist - things we very much appreciated from a contractor.
