Cady Kitchens & Custom Cabinetry

We asked for quote maple kitchen with a specific door profile and two different paint colours for the main cabinets and island. We gave Tony our measuements and he gave us a price on the spot. He was a couple grand less than the other kitchen cabinet company we had looked at. We thought this was great. He had done two of our friends kitchen, he was really friendly and accommadating and obviously a great price. Everything went smoothly, we got our kitchen cabinets installed and everything looked great. A couples of months later, we got a nic on the door of our cabinet and we discovered that it wasn't maple but mdf. When we finally got a hold of Tony, he said that we asked for mdf. Never once had we ever asked for or agreed for mdf. After much arguing, he said that he would look into how much it would cost to replace the doors. He called us and told us that he was going to tell his supplier that we are a customer who got maple doors two years ago and they are warped to get them for free. His supplier wanted to charge him $1,100 just for the doors and he wanted us to cover the cost. Obviously we said no since we thought we had maple doors already. After much more arguing he said that he will just give us the difference in cash. He told us never to call him again and that he hopes that something goes wrong with our kitchen. When my husband went to pick up the money, my husband said that if we need warranty work that he is still obligated to fix it for 5 years as stated in his warranty. He said he would fix it but charge us, not other people, just us. Extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anyone.
