Dishwasher Issue

Our dishwasher had an error message and would not run through a cycle. We called to have it diagnosed. The technician claimed it needed a new circuit board (control panel). We ordered and installed the part. It did not fix the issue. We called back and were told someone from Customer Service would call us back. Nobody ever did. I left 8 messages. None of them were returned. We paid $84 for the diagnosis and $210 for the parts. Still have a broken dishwasher. I am very disappointed and disgusted with this company and its non existent customer service. We were able to receive a refund through our credit card company thankfully. But let this be a warning to others. Do NOT call this company.

Be wary of this company!

Our washing machine broke down. Repairman advised it needed new motherboard which would be 2-3 days. We paid half up front (first mistake). the 2-3 days came and went without a call. Then a week came and went. No call. No returned calls. The number on the web site seems to just be an answering service. Then another week. No calls or responses. Finally reached the repairman who advised he would be at the house in an hour. We waited all afternoon to no avail. Further calls revealed the part wasn't even in that day. A request to speak with the owner or manager went ignored. They hung up on my wife when she finally got through once. Finally, after nearly three weeks, the part arrived and they arranged a sunday visit to fix. In fairness, the repairman arrived at the stated time and the repair was successful. No apologies or explanation for the delay.
Be wary of this company. Customer service is not a concern of their's. Responsiveness is not a concern. Once they have your deposit they will ignore you and take their sweet time. Use at your own risk! I wish I had read the reviews here before I engaged them.

Go Elsewhere...Save Your Time & Money!

I called First Aid Appliance Repair to order a part for my refrigerator. The technician Alex came out to look at the refrigerator, and he diagnosed the problem as the condenser fan, however, from my knowledge I told him it was not the condenser fan, it was the main pcb (circuit board) which needed replacing. He then agreed and said I was correct. He ordered the part over the phone, and told me it would take 2-3 weeks for delivery and then charged me 50% of the total cost of labour + parts, which was 50% of $500...= $250. This was on October 1, 2015. After 3 weeks, I called customer service and was told the part was back ordered from the vendor and would not be shipped now until November 22. As this date approached, I was then told the part would not be shipped until December 8. By then 2 months had passed. I started to get frustrated as it does NOT take this long to order a part for a refrigerator. Especially a Samsung. Next, I was told December 27, then January 5, and then last week after multiple phone calls, and correspondences I told them to refund my money. It is ridiculous to wait 4 months. And I got the run around continuously.
Many times, the calls never get through and goes directly to their voicemail. I eventually spoke with Oliver, and I told him that I want my refund. He told me that he could order the part from a different vendor and it would take another 3-4 days. Which would mean it would be supposedly delivered the week of January 18. That means that the initial vendor they say they ordered through, never shipped my part at all. And it has been 4 months already! He said that he would have to get approval to give me my refund back. I said I wanted it credited back to my credit card, and he said they only send a cheque back in the mail. Since that conversation on January 14, I have not gotten any phone calls back. I have tried to call every single day to reach Alec (who takes care of refunds) or Oliver and no one is getting back to me. They are avoiding me, and avoiding giving my money back. They have done no service to me, to many people of the public, as Ive reviewed other complaints on BBB and other sites, stating very similar incidences to mine. I was also told if they give me a refund back, they will deduct labour and a 20% restocking fee from the amount I paid. I refuse that completely, and want the entire refund. There is absolutely no way this company will deduct a 20% restocking fee for a part which was not shipped or sent to me, as I was told it would be ordered from a different vendor just last week. And no labour charges for the fact that there was no part ordered to be installed. No technician came out to me to install any part whatsoever. I actually was the one who diagnosed the initial problem with the refrigerator, the technician didn't even do that on October 1st. The amount I paid is what I want refunded on my credit card. I HIGHLY recommend anyone to NEVER go through this company. It will save you a lot of headaches and money if you go somewhere else. This company does not operate correctly and I have a very strong feeling they do this to a lot of people (as shown online) to keep customers money, hoping they will eventually give up, and possibly get a part made someplace cheaper so they pocket the rest of the money. Either way, something is not right with what this company is doing. I will take this further if i do not receive my refund. They don't deserve a cent from me!

Stove repair

Do not hire this company. They refused to explain a minimum $250.00 charge to repair a stove when I booked the appointment even though I tried to find out an approximate cost from the person booking the appointment. The fee was announced when the repairman arrived. I refused to pay $250 for a 20 minute repair and was billed $80.00 anyway. This is dishonest so don't hire them. Also, the repairman tried to discount the fee by 30 dollars to get me to pay $220.00 instead.

LG Washing Machine Repair

Recently had a tech come in to fix my washing machine. VERY DISAPPOINTED as he didn't even have the part to fix the washing machine.....was going to take approx. 2-3 weeks to get the part in......HELLO waiting that long for a part on a washing machine is unacceptable BUT the worse part of this experience is that he quoted me over DOUBLE of what another repair company did to fix the machine.......LG take notice of your Authorized Service Repair companies.

I plan to advise LG of this........BUSTED!!!!!!

Fridge repair

charged me 400.00to change a $20 part which he said would fix my fridge. Then he said it was a compressor and wanted another 800. Was a total rip off as if he told me the truth I wouldn't have fixed anything and only paid the labour. He was only at my house 20 mins. Do not use him.

Samsung Dryer

Wish I had read the reviews before calling this company in May 2015. I called this company because my dryer drum was not turning. The technician came and fixed it but told me it was a temporary fix as the dryer needed a motor replacement and the alignment shafts were bend to the tune of $600. This was a 2 yr old front loading dryer. We had a new issue with the dryer in July 2015 and thought well why would we put anymore money into this dryer if the motor is shot and shafts are bent. We purchased a cheap new dryer and had a different company take the old dryer away. This new company called us to let us know that our dryer only needed a minor repair and that it was a superior product to what we had just purchased. The new company did the repair and tested the motor. Everything was fine with it including no bent shafts. They returned our dryer and took the new one away and saved us a lot of money. Thanks First Aid for leading us down the merry garden path. I honestly don't know if you practice unscrupulous tactics or if your tech just didn't know what was really wrong. Either way you cost us a lot of unnecessary stress and money.

Fridge/ freezer repair

Stay away from this company. I called them because my Ice maker was not working. Tom came and told me I need a new compressor for the Fridge, ( $ 900.00 ) fridge is working fine. He never even looked at the Ice maker or freezer, told me he had to clean the coils first to the tune of $ 133.35. I paid him & told him to leave. One BIG ripoff.
