Top Notch Fence & Deck

Joel and his team did a complete overhaul of our backyard over this summer. New composite deck, upgraded fence, and built in pergola to cover our new hot tub.

Joel and his team showed up every morning at 7:30 am, worked tirelessly throughout the day, and were super easy to deal with. Like the name of their company, the work was top notch!

Joel helped with the design process, and made great recommendations and suggestions on how to make our backyard a beautiful place where we would want to spend time. Before the reno, I don't think we spent more than 5-10 days each summer hanging in the backyard. This year, we are out there every day and night.

I can't recommend Joel and his team highly enough. A pleasure to deal with, and super professional. This is our 2nd time working with Joel, as he did our front porch about 5 years ago, and it still looks brand new. We are a repeat customer and would choose Top Notch again without question.

We would absolutely use them again, and have no concerns about giving Top Notch our highest recommendation. They were easy to communicate with, very punctual, very clean, hard working and the finished product exceeded our expectations. All work was completed within the timeframe promised, even working through some pretty nasty weather without complaint.

After being so pleased with Andrew removing and replacing our 300 + feet of backyard fencing, we hired Top Notch to replace our deck the following season. Andrew paid consistent attention to detail, the work site was always tidy and he finished the work as promised. Our fence and deck look great! We have referred him to neighbours and understand they too are impressed with him personally and his workmanship.

We added an addition and boardwalk to our existing deck, and Joel and his team did an outstanding job. They made recommendations we had not even thought of, and exceeded our expectations. If you want your deck done right, talk to Joel!

I cannot remember the last time that a contractor actually exceeded my expectations, but Top Notch certainly did. Thank you Andrew. Our fence is the nicest in the neighborhood. We will be back and I am sure that our friends will be too.

It's difficult to find other words than what has already been said in these reviews but let me reiterate that working with Joel and team was an absolute pleasure!

With so many concerns about finding good contractors I was quickly put at ease by their work ethic and general positive attitude! And yes; my approx 240 sq ft deck looks amazing! I really appreciate their workmanship and attention to detail which is perhaps most obvious in the louvred privacy screen!

Andrew and the Top Notch team did an outstanding job on our 2-level 350 sq ft deck. We are very impressed with their attention to detail, work ethic and professionalism. Andrew was very easy to communicate with throughout the project and always responded within a day via email/txt to any questions or concerns. He provided detailed answers to all our questions (we had lots!) and made several suggestions to the original design that made our deck more functional. The final quote was competitively priced and within our budget. The Top Notch team completed the entire deck in under a week! They showed up on-time every morning and left the site clean and tidy at the end of the workday. Andrew came to our home to discuss the installation of a deck that he was installing as per our agreement with our builder. However, we decided to upgrade the deck from pressure treated wood to composite. Andrew provided a number of different options as well as colour choices of materials to use. Once we agreed to the job, Andrew and his team were punctual, trustworthy, efficient, hard working and professional. They also completed the fences in our backyard. We love our new deck and would definitely recommend them to complete any deck or fence. Thank you for a job well done!

Best decision I've ever made... Period! I was thinking about doing this myself and after watching the precision and attention to detail this new deck is now an extension of our home. I only wish the inside could look as good as what they did outside.
