Our furnace stopped working and searched HomeStars for reputable repair/replacement contractors. After reading the positive reviews for Temp-a-sure, I sent an email to the contractor at midnight. By 7am the next morning I received a text from Len (owner) at Temp-a-sure noting that he would call me within the hour. Our phone conversation was brief and he gave me the standard costing for inspection and ballpark costs for repair or replacement. Before noon that same day Len was at my home and he provided his opinion. Not once did I feel like he was trying to sell me something that I didn't need and ultimately the choice was mine to repair or replace. In addition, I had a few questions with regards to a few things in furnace room (e.g., Cap on a Pipe, Cap on Drain Pipe). Len said that since the issues were small, he would fix them without an additional costs. I also had a question regarding the code for an orphaned hot water tank and the required diameter for the chimney liner. Len called his technician and Adam confirmed that my chimney liner was to current code.
After deciding to install a new furnace, Len arranged for the delivery for the next morning (1 hour window). Deliver arrived earlier than expected, but I was home so it was not an issue. The following morning (2 days after Len's initial assessment) Adam came to install the unit. He arrived at 8:45am and was out of the house at 1:45pm (5 hours). Adam was very professional, courteous and patient. For example, I have a small children and Adam he made sure he closed the safety gate each time he went downstairs.
As other reviewers have commented, Adam ensures that he cleans up (e.g., sweeps) before leaving. He also took time explaining everything he has done (inside and outside of the house) and answers any questions. Adam also noted that my Humidifier was disconnected and was missing a Humidistat. He assured me that he would speak with Len and that they would arrange of a time to complete the job (even though this was not in their original scope of work).
I have used HomeStar for other work in my house. Temp-a-sure exceeds all other service suppliers that I have worked with.
