We hired Ryan after talking to a handful contractors. Ryan is very patient and professional. He explained to us the difference between different materials. He didnt quote the most expensive but the most cost effective material for our new deck. Ryan and his team is very professional and efficient, they remove the old deck and installed the new concrete bases within a day and come back in a few days to finish the new deck in just 2.5 days. Once you discussed your plan with Ryan, you dont need to worry about all other details. Ryan made all sensible decisions on-site based on his best judgement and extensive experience. We are very happy about the new deck. Thanks to Ryan, our family are able to enjoy our summer with our new deck.

Stop researching and just hire Ryan. I contacted many companies and ended up hiring Ryan as he was very knowledgeable and friendly (took time to answer all of my zillion questions, educated me about materials etc). Also, his prices were very reasonable compared to the prices offered by other companies. I also love that Ryan suggestion for the deck was amazing - such as the location of the stairs, installing lights etc. He and his teammate finished the job well before the contract end date as the materials arrived quickly. They cleaned very well and left the backyard as it was. He kept me in the loop about materials etc and responded to my text messages right away. We are so pleased! We will definitely enjoy this beautiful deck.

After doing some research online on several deck companies, we decided to have Golden Valley Decks complete our backyard deck project. From start to finish, Ryan and his team were there every step of the way. Once the old deck was demolished and new cement posts put in, that process took about a week for the posts to dry and it also rained during that time. The new deck build itself took only 2 days to complete. Ryan is personable, efficient, detailed and delivers on time. Thank you Ryan! We love our new deck!

Ryan was quick and effficient, came on a Sunday put down foundation and was done Monday night. Good response with his phone and text.

I have been searching around the market for over a month and finally decide to go with Golden Valley Deck. I am very happy with my choice as Ryan and his team did an excellent job! The looking of the deck way beyond my expectation. Deck was done as scheduled. Also, Ryan’s team left the worksite clean after completion of the deck, so our family could enjoy the deck right away. If any of you need a deck, Golden Valley is your choice!

Great experience from the start. Ryan listened to what we had in mind, and provided several options for us to consider. He and his crew built us a beautiful deck, in the timeframe he told us he would. We highly recommend GVD, and have referred them to friends and neighbours.

Couldn't recommend Golden Valley Decks more. They got my deck finished over the course of 2 days, which is awesome. Final product looks amazing (I'll add pics later if I can) and is just one solid unit. Definitely going to use their services again when I want to have a front deck built.

Ryan and his employees did an excellent job rebuilding our deck. Our previous one was very old and had footings that were not to standard. They did a total tear-down and rebuild from scratch. He made excellent suggestions, such as extending the deck to make it wider and longer, which made all the difference in the finished product. My neighbour, who is very technically-inclined, noted how solid the structuring was - noting that the deck will outlive us, and that is true; it's super solid. Ryan also thought of little details, like correcting the downspout position of the water drain pipe from the roof, trimming off wood that could have been a hazard for people to walk under, and making other adjustments that increased the overall aesthetics of the deck. Overall, we are quite satisfied. His work is excellent, he is honest and reliable. What more can you ask from a contractor?

Ryan provided pros/cons for a few options of material so we understand what we are paying for. Then, he came to my house to measure my backyard and did a detail drawing as part of the contract. As we signed the contract, he took down our old deck and build a new deck within a month. I m super happy with the experience.
