The little move

I wanted to move a small amount of my personal property from BC to Alberta. It took some time to find a company that seemed reputable and I could afford. I was the small part of a larger move so I was not the main event but I was informed when there was a delay & the reason why my expected arrival was not on time. Good customer service & it was affordable for me. My items were mostly personal and not of great value..for me That Guy Vanlines was perfect.

Picked up my stuff after another company fell through

I had arranged to have another company from Edmonton do my move but they did not show up. That Guy Vanlines was able to pick up my stuff two days later and dropped it off in Penticton just a few days later. If I move long distance again between BC and AB, I will call them first.

Great Movers

That Guy Vanlibes readily accommodated us as our move dates changed, our load size changed and even moved some furniture inside our place that wasn't in the original contract. Nothing scratched, missing or broken.

Horrible company

Do not use this so called moving company. Im surprised they havent been shut down yet with all the complaints.
I hired them to move me ..worst mistake EVER!!
The loading went fine....but the unloading was a frickn joke. 2 guys showed up late...4 hrs late. One of the guys was so wimpy he couldnt lift anything heavy. No exaggeration at all. He was grunting and groaning carrying boxes. When it
came to the heavy stuff he had to stop every
3rd step to put it down. Thank gawd my son
was there
or there would be no way the heavy stuff would of made it in the
house. It was unreal. Not only did my son help with half the stuff but I was also unloading. Yup ....crazy eh? My son and I unloaded h
alf the truck ourselves. I pay them 3000 for what?!

I called the office the next day and the manager,Carlena said...."you should of called that night and said something."
Say what...call at 9pm and get who?? And why
should of I called? Why not the movers who knew this was an option?! I will tell you why. Because my son and I were doing their job.
Im not asking for a full refund....just a partial
.
Very unprofessional...they should not be in business!!
Do not use this crap of a company!! They dont care. Taking them to court. From what ive seen and read there should be a long line ....

Amazing Service

I have to say I had an amazing experience with this company moving to Alberta! They were on time, friendly, professional and took great care handling my items. The office staff were friendly and they gave me the best price out of all the places I called. They made my whole moving process so much easier. Would not hesitate to recommend these guys! Thank you so much!

Horrible experience

Sent one guy to pack my entire four bedroom house even though I spoke to them the previous evening and they promised "extra help". Didn't finish until 11pm.

Then broke several items and lost a couple boxes... Over $2000 in damages. After ten weeks, they denied insurance claim as "the was no proof they did it" (even though their driver signed at time of delivery don't items were broken).

Repeatedly ignored emails for weeks at a time to try and resolve issues.

Avoid!

HORRIBLE COMPANY

After $4,800 in damages and waiting 8 weeks to receive the $1,200 claims settlement I am floored. Stay away from this company!! Be careful to read the small print. The people they have moving your belongings look like they were just hired off the street corner. Dirty and unkept I was embarrassed to say the least. We will be suing.

Not worth it.

These people were efficient caring and considerate, up to a certain point, however after they left with a $120 tip, we noticed they had broken the TV stand/fireplace badly beyond repair, and then taped it up to hide it so we wouldn't notice. I tried to claim it, only $100 for a $950 piece and they denied it saying we declined insurance. We were never offered it. Sad way to treat a good customer who would have recommended you highly. People talk! One day soon you will require a license to move people and you're business will fail badly then! As deserved! A simple fix of $100 would have left me feeling that we are at least valued. Soon they'll require licensing and that'll end this nonsense of abuse. Monkeys at best!
