WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

NEVER HIRE NORM LEBLANC FROM PROVISION INSPECTION INC. About a two or so ago, we had accepted a offer on our home and the buyers got a inspector to come in and inspect ( like normal ). This inspector was recommended by the realtor who was representing the buyers. However, when we got home that day after Norm Leblanc came to inspect our home, we felt like someone had broken into our house. Our mini blinds were all messed up, all the lights were left on, our back door was on locked OH and he BROKE our Jacuzzi tub and not only did he not have the decency of letting us know by leaving a note or calling us, he pretended like nothing happen. The cover of our tub was broken and instead of leaving it on the ground he placed it back on the tub like there was nothing wrong with it. I had to contact my realtor and tell her that the inspector BROKE stuff in our house and we were not very happy. We were told the realtor was trying to get in contact with him to come fix his mess, took 6 weeks before ANYONE got in contact with us.. I took it upon myself to call Norm Leblanc. As soon as I told him who I was and from what house I was calling for he IMMEDIATELY became defensive. I explained to him that we did not appreciate the way he had left our house. He told me that he was not at fault for what he had broke. He said '' I only broke the clip, that wouldn't cause the cover not to stay'' . The fact of the matter is that you BROKE something and you are not owning up to it. Being a business owner he should be liable for things he breaks in peoples home while doing his job, shouldn't he? According to him, he wasn't. The entire time he was yelling at me on the phone, he was blaming the REALTOR that was with him saying how he helped him do the inspection and that he was as much at fault then him. Needless to say, he was supposed to call me the following week to set up a time for the REALTOR to come fix it .. WHAT , why would the realtor come fix it when he is not the one who broke it!!! ( he had told the realtor that he would come but WE better not be home). NOTE TO SELLERS AND REALTORS ... NEVER GO WITH NORM LEBLANC FROM PROVISION INSPECTIONS INC.

Company Response

I have been in business for 11 years now, and I am very sorry you feel this way about your past experience in me inspecting your mini home. I DID come and repair the 0.50 cents broken clip on your jacuzzie cover in which broke while WE (the Realtor and I) tried to drain your already damaged tub. Had I known your tub drain plug was faulty, I would of not tested it. Therefore, by you knowing this problem with your tub in advance and not advising me not to test it, it was my job to test it as it is part of a home inspection. So your broken 50 cent clip failed under test while opening the cover. This was no different than opening an interior door and the handle breaking in my hand. This would also be considered failing under test. When you sell a house and an inspector comes to inspect it, be aware that all will be tested! (At least in my book!)And if I do break something as being my fault, I have absolutely no problems to repair or replace it as I am very professional at what I do.

So please madamme, maybe face the fact that you are bitter at your home not selling due my professionalism at able to find your rotted patio doors, sill and rotted floor structures. Not all Home Inspectors crawl under mini homes to check things, but I do! I crawl them from front to back. Next time, hire a real Home Inspector to check your home as this rotted patio door stuff should of been found by your past inspector/inspection from 2 years ago when you bought the home.

Regards,
Norm LeBlanc
