NOT someone I would ever every do business with again!!!
We had no hydro all night when a couple breakers on our panel went. We contacted Distinct Electric in the early morning and they couldn't come until later that afternoon. When he came he didn't have the breakers to replace the bad ones and said he wouldn't be back for a couple days. As this was January we couldn't do without power for a couple more days. I called around and found a company that had inventory and could come imediately as it was an emergency situation. I called Distinct Electric back imediately so he wouldn't have to place the order. He insisted on billing me over $285 for just coming out for 10 minutes to look at our panel. He sent me an invoice the following day and before I even had the chance to consider paying him for doing nothing he followed up with the following threatening email the very next day :
" I need to know today when you will be paying the invoice e-transfer for the service call or else I will be contacting the Hydro authorities
The electrical contractor or person that did the work broke the law by working live and not filing a disconnection order with Newmarket Hydro plus not taking out a ESA permit these fees alone would of been around $400. "
If the parties broke the seal and pulled the meter the utility could actually have the person or persons arrested."
HE IS NOT SOMEONE TO DO BUSINESS WITH EVER!!!
