consultation on chimney repoint
Hi, I contacted Mr. Behling and asked if he would meet with me to discuss a repoint on our chimney. He met with me in a timely manner and to my surprise and delight, solved our issue with an inexpensive installation of transfer flashing. Thanks very much Angela. There's no doubt that your chimney will need further maintenance some day. The original bricks are highly absorbing and are therefor susceptible to our weather cycles. For the moment though and for the foreseeable future all that was needed was the installation of a small piece of flashing to connect the counter flashing of the chimney with the eavestrough to stop the saturation of the brick below the soffit. Our philosophy has always been: If you don't need it we won't sell it to you or try to talk you into it! When the time comes we hope to be around to be of further service.
