We had our driveway, walkway, and front porch redone with interlocking stones with low voltage lighting on the front steps. It looks great during the day, and very welcoming at night with the lights on. Tom+Dave and their team made sure we were involved through the entire process and we are very happy with the finished product. A+

Seamless and easy.

We had a 2 tier stone deck installed in our back yard. We also had our front porch covered and a walkway to the sidewalk done in stone. We had contacted them in early May 2015 and because of the weather in June and the amount of work they had lined up the work got completed the first week of October. However, the wait was worth it as it was very well done and looks amazing.

We approached Davel Constructions for our backyard project at the end of March, after reading reviews on HomeStars.com. Tomas impressed us from the beginning: he listened to our ideas and incorporated them into the design, creating the family oasis we wanted. Tomas, Dave and the entire crew were very professional and focused on the job. They delivered the project as committed and expected. We contracted Davel to replace our existing front walkway and steps, and back patio - creating a new walkway from the front to the back, with a patio, deck and custom gate at the back. The existing walkway and steps were in pretty bad shape, and the walkway to the back yard was in serious need of new landscaping. Tomas impressed us from the first time we met him, and appreciate the diligence and professionalism he and his crew demonstrated every day on the job. They were on site when they said they would be, and every night the site was cleaned up - better than we could expect considering the weather they had to deal with. And the clay that was like concrete! We were most impressed with the detail that went into making sure the base for the interlocking was done properly. The quality of the work on both the interlocking and the woodwork for the gate and deck is top-notch. Our only regret is that we didn't have the work done earlier in the season.

Davel Construction was working in the neighbourhood, the owner invited my husband to see the work and we booked an appointment.
We met with Tomas Maturana and we discussed a patio around the gazebo.
As the project ideas start to flow we expanded to the full backyard.
As this business depends on the weather and other jobs, within two and a half weeks we were finished as the other option was to wait 3 weeks and be done in the week.
The crew worked hard and were very professional. They protected our walkways and areas from the machines with plywood. They cleaned up after themselves.
As the job progressed some details were suggested that made the brickwork very attractive around the pool.
The end result is amazing and the neighbours and family are impressed.

The front yard interlocking patio and staircase David and his crew built looks just as good now as it did when it was built 3 years ago.
I have also provided Tomas and David with design & permit drawings on multiple projects. They have always been detailed, courteous and communicative. These are key characteristics to look for in a contractor.

I was impressed by the amount of work involve in doing the job, particularly of the huge amount of dirt taken to make room for the gravel. They use special machines to flatten everything down. A solid hard base was created before the stones were put on. The project manager was knowledgeable and helpful.

We found Davel through Home Stars and are extremely pleased that we selected them to totally revamp the entranceway to our home. They knew exactly what we desired and their work ethic and professionalism was first class. We were impressed with the skills of every member of their team and their desire to achieve a quality product. We are delighted with the end result which has completely transformed the front of our house and we have received numerous compliments from neighbours and even passers-by.
