The price unfortunately seems to be the going rate when the city is replacing lead pipes. $1500 is per home just for the homeowner portion so I assume the city aka taxpayers are being billed at least the same for their portion. I guess I now know why Rob Ford was elected. The work was done in a couple days and the whole street patched back up in about a week. I might shop around but when the city is doing the work anyway you are basically at the mercy of the contractor who they sourced.
