We worked with Ted and his team to renovate our 100 year old home. It was no small job - we added 50% more floor space through an addition, and completely redid the existing floorplan. Ted and his team are excellent carpenters and did a great job renovating the whole house. We get many compliments on the quality of the work and the end result. Ted also brought in excellent trades people, including masons and electricians.
One important feature of Ted's work was his respect of the neighbours through the process - he helped us navigate a lengthy renovation and did his best to minimize the impact on our neighbours.

We moved into an old (almost 100 years) Toronto semi-detached in the Beaches that needed a bit of a facelift. We started by wanting to knock a few walls down and redo our kitchen, but ended up renovating the whole main floor. Working with Justin and his team, we felt very confident that every dollar we put into the renovation was worth our while. He was up front about all costs and very honest in his opinion on what would be high value and lead to a better quality of life, versus what might not be worth the cost. In the end we made our own choices but felt like Justin was a great partner in providing accurate and reliable information based on his experience. The end result was great and we love spending time in our new space. Thank you!

We were looking for a company to finish our basement into some extra living space for our family after it had been underpinned. JT construction joined our project during the underpinning with support for site protection and to ensure the handover process was smooth. JT Construction started the job promptly and brought in trades that were competent and professional. They listened to our concerns, answered our questions and walked us through all steps of the renovation. The only feedback I would offer JT would be better week to week communication as it would have been helpful to know which trades would be onsite during the week. Overall, the job was finished within a reasonable timeline, met our budget expectations and we are very happy with the finished results. I would recommend JT Construction for any building or renovation project!

Ted & Justin were always very friendly and professional. The renovation was a bit on the expensive side but, to me, worth every penny of it. I didn't have to worry about too much along the way at all and the end result was great.

Justin and Ted were great to work with. We were nervous about such a big undertaking but even from the first meeting when Justin came to see our house to give us a quote we knew he had experience with such a big undertaking. We took down the back wall on the main floor and had a 20 extension added and gutted the main floor and basement down to the studs to open up the main floor. He was able to take our vision and help us understand what was realistic with our budget. The level of communication was great through the whole process and as unexpected things came up (which is inevitable in a 100+ year old home) we were kept well informed of the reasoning behind additional costs or delays.
We are extremely happy with the finished product. As the project wrapped up Ted and Justin made sure we were happy with the final product. Even when we had what ended up being an issue unrelated to the renovation 4-5 months after moving back into our house Justin was quick to come ensure it wasnt an issue with their work and helped us figure out the problem and coordinated the repair for us.
I wouldnt hesitate to recommend JT Construction to friends or family, or hire them again for our next project.

I hired JT Construction Solutions in 2021 to fully renovate our 1st and 2nd floor of our century home. Our project involved demolition right to the studs on both floors, removal of structural walls and installation of steel beam to achieve an open concept. Additionally, we redid all of our plumbing throughout the house and installed a 2nd 100amp electrical panel through which all of the electrical in this newly renovated space was wired. At all times Justin and Ted were responsive to our calls and all of their staff were clean, considerate, and professional. We highly recommend JT Construction Solutions for a renovation or a new build and we hope to work with them in the future ourselves.

Ted and Justin are a pleasure to work with. We had the challenge of starting a renovation in mid-2020 just as lockdowns were being put in place. Our renovation took a 1960's original home and brought it into the 21st century with open concept main floor, new kitchen, new bathrooms and more. JT Construction Solutions were able to efficiently manage sourcing of supplies and trades in a time of great uncertainty. We were also very pleased by the professionalism of their team and their pride in their work. They work in an organised manner and ensured that the job site was cleaned at the end of each day (even though we were not living in the home during the renovation). They are attentive to the small details (such as adding a work space to our pantry and adding hall light control from our garage). They also proactively provide solutions if something doesn't align with the initial plans. We are very pleased with our new home and have received many compliments on the quality of the finished work. We would be happy to work with them again and strongly recommend them.

We undertook a full bathroom renovation upstairs, and the construction of a new custom made shower for the downstairs bathroom. We also got a custom-built closet built in each of the kids bedroom. What stands out was that the service was excellent throughout. Very accessible. All questions answered, and solid guidance. When we raised a concern, it was quickly addressed. The estimate was accurate and there was no hidden cost. The end result is quite good. We are very satisfied with the way the bathrooms turned out. The upstairs bathroom looks great, and the new shower in the basement is excellent. The work appears to be of solid quality. Would call them first for another project.

We decided to do a complete renovation of our basement starting the beginning of 2020. The timing for the completion of the work was extended due to COVID restrictions and problems with acquiring building materials that were needed.

We decided to delay our review, to ensure no issues arose.  When one small problem appeared after the completion of the work, JT Construction Solutions came back and quickly resolved it. After almost a year of living with a completed basement, we are very happy with the finished product.

We worked very well with the project managers and really enjoyed working with both of them.  Justin and Ted were able to come up with innovated ideas and solutions that arose during the build.  Despite the COVID—19 restrictions they were able to get material samples or arrange meetings with the suppliers to ensure we were happy with the selection.

We are especially impressed with the carpentry work. The carpenters did an amazing job on the flooring, trims and doors. We had no issues with the doors in the summertime, despite the high humidity. We also ended up expanding the scope of the project and asked to create a roll out closet space and new staircase with railings.  Excellent craftsmanship.

Although the renovation itself lasted for almost four months, we attribute the length of the work to COVID and problems with acquiring the materials that were needed.  The cost of this project was not cheap, but we also ended going over the initial project scope.  Overall, we are very pleased with JT Construction Solutions, they were able to get the basement to feel like another floor in our home.

JT Construction soundproofed the entire adjoining wall (two floors and the attic) plus added soundproofing and heat insulation in the attic.
Because of space restrictions, there was a limit to how much sound insulation could be added. They were honest in terms of what I could expect, prepared and protected the house before the work starter, and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. I am very happy with the results. This is a company that is serious about doing an excellent job and keeping its clients happy. I'll be hiring them again and recommending them.
