I was referred to this company through Lowes when I bought my appliances. Brian and Steve were friendly, accommodating and fast. They rerouted an existing gas line to use for the dryer which saved money and capped an exterior gas line for me which was not on the work order. My only complaint (and I wish I didn't have one) was that a few days after they completed the dryer install, the flexible dryer vent disconnected from the exterior vent duct as the connection between the vent and the duct was not secured in place with tape. This occurred while the dryer was in mid cycle and caused my house to become quite humid on an already humid day.
Overall, I am satisfied with the work they did, just was a let down to see the vent on the floor.
I called up Brian as I had bought a new barbecue that did not fit to the existing gas line at my house.
He was very responsive and accommodating as my schedule is quite restrictive. He and his partner did a great job, and were even kind enough to help me out with something else as I am obviously not very handy (and they very much are!).
Brian and his partner were very friendly and approachable. I would definitely recommend Canadian Gas Service and even took their card to make sure we contact them in the future when we install our gas fireplace!
Thanks for all your help!
Brian called in the morning and talked about the job over the phone. I gave him the go ahead and he succeeded extremely well. The price was fantastic and it was a clean and quick job. I had been fretting about it getting done and Brian made it all so easy. I feel calm and safe with his work and I had nothing to clean up when I returned home. I would recommend to anyone. Fantastic job. Will definitely use CGS again.

I was thoroughly impressed with Brian and his partner. They went out of their way to schedule me in during a hectic time as we had no hot water. The job was done quickly and efficiently and professionally. I was very pleased with Lowe's as well, they followed up after the installation to see how everything went and I let them know that Canadian Gas Service did a wonderful job. I would not hesitate to use this company in the future and will definitely recommend them to family and friends.
I called them and they showed up within 24h. Gentlemen name Mike showed up with another person. Both guys gave great and professional service. The job was done within half hour. I would highly recommend them and use them again.
I purchased a new natural gas Barbeque which required connection to my home natural gas service. I called one or two companies without much satisfaction re timing. I then reached Brian at Canadian Gas Service. He was just finishing a job and though it was the end of the day, he agreed to come by and do the installation.
He arrived and worked well into the evening to finish the job. It was done very carefully and professionally and the site was left clean and tidy - and the price was less than earlier quotes.
As an engineer I was very impressed with the quality of the work, with careful testing at the end for to ensure no leaks. I would highly recommend Canadian Gas Service!
The approximate cost was to deliver the new dishwasher, install it, included new hoses and removal and disposal of the old one.
They gave me a window of time when they would arrive then called me 20 minutes before they arrived to confirm. They installed it with great care to make sure it was level, they added a new junction box and made sure it worked without any leaks. They cleaned up after themselves and left the area spotless.
I bought an over-the-range microwave that needed to be installed in my home. I was referred to this company through the store where I purchased the microwave. Brian did the installation work. He was friendly and courteous. The work was done efficiently and no mess was left behind. I was happy with this service.
Backstory: Backyard totally redone, just waiting for the gas fitter to show up. Nothing. Not answering voicemail. Tried other gas fitters: Nothing. Missed appointments. Not answering. Don't want the job. Quoi?
I call Bruce at CGS and he's here three days later, on time, ready to go. Job's done in four hours, because he had every tool under the sun in his truck. I would have believed him if he'd said he had a kitchen sink in there.
Details: he installed a completely new BBQ gas line off the meter, along the house, down underground through a conduit (WHICH HE ALSO CAPPED AND SEALED FOR US even though he had nothing to do with its installation) and out to a valve on a post that he drove into the ground by the BBQ. All painted, sealed, bonded (even the original gas line in the basement that had had no bonding for some reason) and he also plugged the hole in the basement wall with silicone.
This may have been the most professional and efficient home service appointment that I have ever seen.
And like THAT (pfoo) he's gone.

Garage heating systems:
Garage gas heaters make the workplace more useful and comfortable. In Canada, natural gas heaters are needed towork year-round. The most efficient system is usually a gas-fired, forced-air unit heater. Portable kerosene or propane heaters require ventilation, adding to the system complexity and safety considerations.
Restaurant natural gas systems:
Natural gas is a popular choice for restaurants and other establishments that require cooking facilities including natural gas-fired fryers, griddles, ovens, and hot and cold storage areas. A natural gas system is economical, dependable and easy to use. Heating a restaurant with natural gas provides comfort to customers and saves money. Grills, deep fryers and exhaust systems, however, present a fire risk if not properly cleaned and maintained. Regular inspections by a CGS crew will reduce risks and show where efficiencies may be found.
