Excellent experience on the phone booking the inspection and prompt arrival on the date. Jamie was extremely thorough and professional. He gave us many insights into a potential home and highlighted areas of improvement needed. He followed up with the report quickly and followed up by email with further answers to our many questions. I would not hesitate to recommend Jamie to anyone.

From the first call and email with staff at Access the experience was fantastic. They responded quickly to questions and were able to complete our inspection with very short notice. I appreciated that their standard is that they want new home owners to be onsite for the inspection. Dejan Hursin was our inspector and we want to thank him for his expertise. His knowledge and experience assisted us greatly in make the decision to not buy a property that on the outside looks perfect but on the inside has potentially significant and costly issues. Mr. Jamie With Access Home Inspection Services did a pretty great job while conducting 11 month home warranty inspection in March 2017.

Due to his meticulous work, Jamie found lot of deficiencies on
my new home including the following:

1- My Heat Recovery & Ventilation System ( HRV) never properly functioned since we moved into our home.

2- Our Furnace was making a rafting noise.

3- He tested the air quality of our home & discovered the Carbon Monoxide level was very high. He advised me to call ATCO GAS for further investigation. ATCO GAS came over and concluded that the Carbon Monoxide level was high and we got involved the builder to find out the root causes & fix the problems.

4- With Mr. Jamie's help i discovered my windows were double pane instead of triple pane. I immediately contacted my builder who acknowledged the error and accept to switch out the dual pane to triple pane. I'm glad that all the items above have been dealt with.

In addition to discovering deficiencies, Jamie gave recommendations on things i should consider to improve on my home in the future.

For these reasons, i strongly believe that Mr. Jamie is one of the best home inspectors in Alberta. He is very smart, honest, Professional and i recommend him without reservation.

We were very satisfied with the work and post-work communication with Jamie Keith (I would call it an "excellent service"). He came to inspect the house on time and did an excellent job in providing us a quick yet detailed report that helped us to make our own decision being a first time home-buyer in Canada. He was also prompt through emails in responding to my queries. I would highly recommend Jamie.

Jaime was prompt, thorough, and kept us informed of any issues - both good and bad - throughout the entire process. His report arrived within 2 hours and was equally thorough. He is worth the money spent.

We had Jamie from Access Home Inspection Services come out and complete an inspection on our new home as per our purchase agreement conditions. He was very thorough and punctual. We had an 9am appointment, which we arrived to on time, only to find out that Jamie had already been there for 1 hour already assessing the exterior of the home. He was able to walk us through the exterior of the home right away when we had arrived and then continued on to inspect the interior of the home. He was more than willing for us, the realtor and my dad to all tail him throughout the entire house while he inspected everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. He explained things as we went along and was even open to questions we had. Jamie was knowledgeable on whether or not permits were required for certain things we wanting the change (removing the eaves that were plumbed into the sewer drain). He even pointed out work that was done in the home without permit(s). Jamie came equipped with an arsenal of tools including a device that plugs into an outlet to see if the outlet has electricity, a sensor that he used to touch wires to see if they were live, a sensor to detect the level of moisture behind walls/tiles, a 200ft camera snake to inspect the sewer line (that also records video), and I'm sure much more. Once the inspection was completed, we waited, in the home, approximately 30-40 minutes at most while he put the finishing touches on the report. Once the report was drafted, he reviewed the format of the inspection with us and advised us what aspects he thought we should make sure to repair to first to ensure our new home was protected. To top it off, he gave us a 4GB USB flash drive that has an electronic PDF copy of the inspection as well as the video footage from the sewer line. The regular cost for the inspection is $435 however we paid the extra $200 to have the sewer line inspected. We are glad that we did because the sewer line has been updated from the clay/cement pipe line (NOT GOOD) to an ABS line (MUCH BETTER) all the way to the end of the property line. It has helped us sleep better at night knowing that the home we have purchased has what it has. Jamie also accepts e-Transfers which was super convenient for us to use. I highly recommend Access Home Inspection Services.

Jamie was a fantastic home inspector. I chose him because of his reviews on this site which a month ago was 10 stars out of 50+ reviews. His website is professional and has all his credentials available so you know his background. He was very professional and arrived an hour early to inspect the roof and exterior of the home. When I arrived he walked me around the exterior to show what he had found so far. Once inside he examined every square inch of the place and thoroughly explained what he was doing and what he found. I paid for the full meal deal including thermal imaging, negative pressure to find air movement via thermal imaging and drain scoping. He advised me a few hours into the inspection the draft test was unnecessary because it was an older home with older windows and he could tell there would be drafting air coming in. He said the negative air system was used more for home that has had new windows and doors put in to make sure they are sealed properly. His honesty saved me $100. Jamie walked me through the entire report which was easy to read and follow with pictures. The information was then broken down in replace/replace and maintain so you knew what items needed to be fixed first to avoid damage. Using his home inspection I called many contractors to get quotes to fix the repair/replace and it totaled to $30 000 before I got inside the home (2 roofs, driveway, basement window wells and windows, grading, furance). Jamie gave me the information I needed to walk away from a money pit. I then called him 4 days later for another home inspection on a newer home and have since bought the house. He was amazing on both occasions and I highly recommend his services to anyone buying a house.

I hired Jamie of Access to do a home inspection. Opted for the home inspection with thermal scan. Worth every penny paid. Jamie was friendly, thorough, and honest when asked his opinion on items that were discovered during the home inspection. I would use Jamie again to inspect any home I consider buying and would recommend him to any friends or family needing a home inspector. Inspection took 3 hours 45 minutes and an additional 25 minutes to produce his final report onsite. Jamie took the time to perform the inspection and did not rush. With his report in hand we were able to negotiate with the homeowners regarding selling price.

Jamie was very thorough. He arrived approximately an hour ahead of us to do the exterior/roof inspection. The remainder of the inspection took approximately 2 hours, and covered everything. Access also offers thermal imaging, which I highly recommend. He took pictures of EVERYTHING. Our house is by no means perfect, but because of a proper home inspection, we knew what to expect in terms of immediate and long term repairs and maintenance. You can also expect a black and white print out at the inspection, and a full colour emailed version as well. Jamie will also sit down and discuss everything with you, and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
