Amazing, in the end!

The quality of the furniture here is amazing! The staff are very enthusiastic and eager to help, if you are looking for a customized look, this is a great place to go. But make sure you stay true to your vision and not be lead by all the choices.

Our vision did not come out quite as we had hoped, but the owner bent over backwards to make sure the situation was rectified to our satisfaction.

Thank you Ingrid and Maria, for making it work out great in the end.

Boiling with Rage!!!

To whom it may concern,

i stumbled into your store a few years ago now.
i went in there with a very clear image of what kind of sofa i wanted and what kind of color combination was going to work in the room i was creating.

Right from the word go the sales lady Ingrid clearly didn't like my taste in colors and was very dismissive of my choices.

so i left.

having failed to find anywhere else that offered the custom furniture with these colors on offer i went back in with my wife about a year later, this time ready to make a purchase.

again Ingrid made lots of suggestions against the color scheme that i wanted and made lots of reasons why the type of fabrics i wanted would not go well together, it seemed like she was just trying to persuade us to get a sofa that she approved of.

she managed to make my wife agree that the 2 types of fabric that i wanted would not go well together and eventually i too started to think that maybe she's right, this is her profession after-all.

so after much deliberation i finally caved and switched to a fabric that Ingrid said would make a really great sofa.

well yesterday that sofa arrived and guess what, it sticks out like a sore thumb and does not match with the rest of the room whatsoever. even my wife now totally agrees that what i wanted was right and what we got really isn't right at all.

but here is the kicker......

the very 1st time i went in i was told that i could have 2 different colour scheme on my sofa and whatever the body of the sofa is is the price that you pay Ingrid tells me "so even if you get a more expensive fabric for the cushions, you still only pay the body fabric price", but this didn't effrect us anyway as the body was the more expensive fabric anyway.

HOWEVER...
i just found out yesterday (as my wife dealt with all the payment details) that we in fact paid an additional $310 to have the cushions a different color.

a color that is wrong!!!

Anyway, no sooner had the sofa been delivered, we rushed the sofa cushions over to the shop (with photos of how badly it matched the rest of the room) and began trying to find a color that will actually fit (as that original fabric i wanted is no longer available (according to Creative Home at least))

so i am sitting there thoroughly annoyed by the whole situation trying to find a fabric that will suit our room and would you believe it, Ingrid is STILL trying to persuade us against our chosen color with yet more suggestions that go against the theme.

Final straw..

My wife takes the cushions back today to get them re-covered and is quoted another $400 (total now $710) taking the cost to of this situation to over 55% in addition to my original quote.

and that price is if my wife rebuilds the cushions herself and reattaches the buttons that hold the shape, because the factory (Stylus BTW!) wont take the cushions back for fear of bed bug contamination 21hrs after they left the factory.

so now if i want my sofa the way i bloody wanted it in the 1st place i have 2 choices.....

pay an additional $910 to have it properly rebuilt
or
pay $710 for my wife to attempt to rebuild the cushions with the new covers that they send.

either way i look at, I'm out of pocket be best part of a grand, in an attempt to get the bloody sofa that will suit my study.

consumed with rage and distractedly annoyed.
