Shout out to all who participated- fabulous job by all the lads (Cody, Marcus & Jimmy, Ryan, etc as well as those behind the scenes) who attended to our somewhat different requests (like saving my appliance garage and my pull-out cutting board - I really did not want to lose them)! Special thanks to Natalia for her quick and detailed estimate as well as her attention to all my worries through this process - she is one fantastic person to work with and is so willing to do whatever is necessary to accommodate any concerns!

In 2019 we hired Granstone to install the bathroom and kitchen countertops trusting the five star ratings we saw online. The work we received was very sloppy and unprofessional. They destroyed the vanities making room for the sink, they destroyed my first choice for the kitchen slabs requiring me to go and choose a new slab which I knew was less expensive but the owner, Derick, telling me it balances out when asked for the difference. On top of the damage they caused, the list of issues we encountered is endless. I honestly cannot list them all but here are the big ones: they chipped the master bathroom countertop and fixed it with glue which is very noticeable, they had all the correct dimensions but the stove insert was cut larger and with the attempts they made to try and fix things they ended up scratching the stove all over, to this day (2 years later) my countertops are still not sealed but they keep promising to come back and complete. I have messaged the owner more than seven times with his excuses ranging from blaming Covid19 to not having the necessary product. Fed up, I went to the office to inquire again but was told by the manager, Jamie, that Derick already completed the work. When I explained the situation to Jamie he was very apologetic and promised to come by and fix things but unfortunately by the time I checked in again I was told that he no longer works there. I'm still left with no seal on my countertop (which is bad and causes more countertop issues) and no one from Granstone seems to care about finishing the job.

It pains me to write a bad review and although the staff are very pleasant save yourself and stay away from this shop.

A company that returns phone calls & emails, and meets project timelines! Also one of the few companies we talked to that offers full project management. Very high quality products. Our project was not large (replace counter & backsplash <$10K) and every other fabricator that we contacted didn’t even bother returning calls/emails or follow up beyond preliminary discussions. Granstone was responsive without being high pressure and very patient as we changed our mind on materials and design several times. Once the details were finalized they acted quickly and the project was completed in under 2 weeks. A big shout-out to Natalia for her professionalism, patience and management of the project, but also to Cody and Jimmy for their skills in working in an older home without one straight wall or cabinet and making the end product look spectacular!
We were very pleased with the knowledge and responsiveness of the staff, product quality, project timeline, and will definitely use them again on our next project.

We purchased our granite countertops from Granstone in 2018 when we did our kitchen reno. We were so pleased with their customer service, installation and price that we went back when we decided to change our wood island top to quartz. They helped us find the perfect remnant to fit our style and budget. From purchase to delivery the staff didn’t disappoint! We are thrilled with our investment! Thank you Grandstone!

Granstone installed new quartz countertops and backsplash in our kitchen. Granstone overall performance was very good. The quality of the product was excellent. However, due to some minor and unforeseen project issues, our assessment would have been higher.

Finally, if not for the tireless work ethic of the installer, Jamie, some problem areas would have extended the project timeline. Jamie was an excellent installer and problem solver. Jamie deserves credit for making this project come together in a satisfactory manner.

Granstone has been so wonderful and easy to work with during this process. I purchased a new counter top, flooring, cabinet hardware and backsplash from them. The entire team from the front desk, to the designer, to the project manager, to the templaters to the installer, to the owner were lovely. All very down to earth and patient! They put up with all my uncertainties and never made me feel rushed or pressured. I would easily come back to them again for services in the future.

We searched all over Toronto and Ottawa for granite slabs for our new kitchen, finally finding the perfect slabs in Ottawa. Then we set to the task of finding the right company to fabricate and install our countertops.

We put out quotation requests to no less than nine companies. Granstone, was prompt, professional and friendly providing a written quotation on letterhead within hours of our request. Other companies simply sent us an email with one or two lines stating what they thought they would charge us. We filtered through the responses and quotes from the different companies and chose to work with Granstone even though they were not the least expensive option. It was their professionalism, timely responses, friendliness on the phone, and their many positive reviews that showed us they were the right choice.

It turns out we were right! Everyone we dealt with at the company took great care in ensuring that they provided top level service and a professional installation. We were very fortunate to have the company founder come to our location for the templating, and we are two hours outside of Ottawa. He wanted to ensure that everything was done correctly the first time. Afterwards, we corresponded by facetime to ensure all the details were correct before proceeding to fabricate the countertops from the slabs.

When it came to the installation the two gentleman that delivered and installed the countertops were consummate professionals, while also being down to earth, friendly and light hearted. Taking great pride in their work, and not rushing, they did an excellent job.

We are very proud of our new kitchen and our new countertops are the icing on the cake. Our layout was complex and utilized six custom fabricated pieces of granite. Everything fit perfectly and was finished beautifully. We received excellent service and top quality workmanship.

We can highly recommend Granstone to anyone looking for a company that looks after its employees, has a great work ethic, and provides quality workmanship and top tier service for a reasonable price.

Granstone completed a full kitchen and main floor remodel. The attention to detail and craftsmanship that each trade specializes in is visible in the final reveal. From the new wide plank hard wood floors up the freshly painted walls to the perfection of the crown mouldings, every detail is finished with precision and attention to detail. We will be hiring them again for our next project….the master bath!
