I started shopping around for a company/contractor last fall. I chose Granstone for my kitchen renovation project for a number of reasons. Right from the outset they were very responsive to my request and I was very happy with the balance between input I would provide and the work they would undertake. By Christmas we had a design plan and a very competitive price quote. Despite pandemic related supply chain issues on appliances etc, everything came together exactly as I had hoped. The down time was minimal and they were always responsive to finishing up the last details. Everyone I dealt with from that company was pleasant and professional - and a special thanks to Stephanie, Ryan and Ivan.

Stephanie and Natalia were wonderful to deal with and promptly addressed any issues I had. Most of the trades were very good at their trades as well as being very nice individuals . Levi is very good at his job and easy to talk to . When I had time issues the company tried their very best to accommodate them and this was appreciated. Especially towards the end of the project when the company put on concerted effort to complete the job. The glass company was amazing to arrange to have the job completed yet this week after they had a small issue with the shower glass. I would recommend this company.

I hired Granstone to refinish my basement flooring as the carpet there was nearly 15 years old. They did a great job of demolition and prepping the floor for the high-end LPV flooring we put down. We use our basement alot as an extension of our living space and we absolutely love the new flooring. Our basement doesn't look like a basement anymore.

I have used Granstone a number of times over the last year for basement reno, laundry room overhaul and replacing my countertops. Every single time I have been very happy with the work they have done.

I have my kitchen upgraded along with my powder room and all the flooring on the main floor of my condo in summer 2021. I hired Granstone to do the work after researching and contacting companies for about 3 months. Home star recommended several company and after speaking with 2 other company. The designer (Stephanie) was wonderful to work with. Very patient and personable. The whole crew that worked on the project to make the design come to life was excellent! Like any big project, there will always be some glitches and Granstone addressed all of my concerns and made sure I was always happy with the end product. We are still trying to resolve minor cabinet issue but all and all, I have very please with the quality and workmanship of the company! Thank you to all the personnel at Granstone!

My wife and I decided to redo our kitchen. She researched various contractors and decided on Granstone when she met a lovely young lady, Stephanie. They worked together and decided on appliances, counter tops, backsplash, flooring, etc. The owner, Levi, was on the site many times. Unfortunately I can only give this company 5 stars. Would like to give them 10! They were excellent. Accommodating, respectful, tidy, efficient and reasonable. Ryan, Ivan and the rest of the team were spectacular. Honestly folks, check out Granstone. We recently moved to Brockville and after tearing out the existing kitchen in our new home, we were looking for new quartz countertops. We found Granstone and they did not disappoint! Steffeny was a pleasure to deal with, always patiently answering the myriad of questions we had. We couldn't be more pleased with our new quartz counters! It was a relief knowing that your team could be relied on to follow through on the tasks at hand, and that communication flowed well to everyone involved.

Granstone did well at every stage of our renovation and we're very happy with our new kitchen.

The Quote - While many companies will give you a quote based on general information you supply, and then adjust that price upwards as you select the actual products you want e.g. countertop, cupboards, floors, backsplash, etc., Granstone waits until you have selected the major items before giving you a price. They will guide you without pushing in terms of materials based on what you tell them and advise you based on design and quality etc. The result of this approach is that the price they quote is the same as the price you pay - or very close if there are changes made during the process. Unlike most other companies I have heard of or dealt with, the price can also be lower. For example, in our case the price of a subfloor was included in the estimate, but wasn't needed once the parquet was lifted, so that cost was removed.

The next part of the process we really appreciated was that Granstone will not start the job until all the items (cupboards, countertop, backsplash etc.) are in their possession. This approach drastically reduces the likelihood of delays - or the length of delays if there are any.

Most of the major work is completed by employees, with only a few jobs assigned to subcontractors, and most of those subcontractors have a close to exclusive relationship with Granstone.

We did encounter some issues with a couple of the subcontractors not showing up as scheduled, but Granstone reacted quickly to either replace them or in one case the site manager himself offered to come over immediately and do the work.

Regarding the work itself, we were very pleased with the quality of the work and materials. Inevitably renovations uncover unwelcome surprises - ductwork where you weren't expecting it or the remains of old water damage to the subfloor in our case. The extra cost incurred by these were minimal and reasonable.

Communication was excellent. In our case the project manager was also the designer and she would get back to me very quickly when I had any questions. Usually calls were returned within minutes and always the same day.

At the end of the project, we were pleasantly surprised that Granstone had hired professional cleaners to come in and clean any areas affected by the renovations, including access routes to the kitchen (hallways, entrance ways etc.).

Finally, all the Granstone employees who were involved in our kitchen Reno (particularly Stephanie, Levi, Ryan and their teams) were great people - kind, friendly, respectful and honest. Simply put, they were nice people to have around.

It's been five months since our renovation was completed and we still get a lift every time we walk into our kitchen. I highly recommend Granstone and would use them again.
