Shay was recommended to us by our real estate agent. We didn’t really know anything about staging a house, but we knew it had to be done. When Shay first came over, she explained the whole process to us and put us at ease right away. She used as much of our own stuff as possible, which kept some of the costs down (and made me feel good about our choices).

I cannot believe how hard she worked. She has a fantastic eye for detail, and excellent taste. It’s clear to see that Shay has a passion for her work, and it helped keep us motivated during a stressful time. She made our house look absolutely beautiful. It actually made me question our decision to move.

Our house sold in a week, and I believe this was due in large part to Shay’s simple, yet elegant sense of design. And, aside from her excellent work, Shay was totally fun to work with. She was easygoing and had a fantastic attitude. I highly recommend Shay, and look forward to working with her in our new house.

As a real estate broker I've had the pleasure of working with Shay on multiple occasions. I've seen Shay make a big impact on homes that most people wouldn't think needed to be staged, because the home showed well with the owners existing furniture. But Shay has a keen eye for light and design and somewhow always finds a better way to present homes for sale. She also does not rely on just one design style (modern, traditional etc.) but rather chooses furniture that is both consistent with the owner's existing furniture and with the overall aesthetic of the home. I'm happy to recommend Shay's services!

Thanx for your comments John! I always enjoy working with you, you've been helpful in determining what a client will need before I meet them. Some homes simply required a bit of rearranging and "fluffing" and others necessitated a lot more work; you have helped me to offer minimal and maximal services depending on the house, and the budget. I look forward to many more mutually happy customers in the future!

I recently sold my house. Shay helped me stage it. She did a wonderful job. Shay has an amazing sense of space and decor, and manages to make rooms shine by the smallest of tweaks. I was very impressed by the major impact of her often minor interventions (an added plant, a different cushion, moving a piece of furniture from one corner to another). She seemed to bring out the homeyness I'd been going for all along. Her props, along with her clear instructions on how to prep the house for showings, without a doubt helped me sell the place quickly (within one day, in fact). I was a bit hesitant beforehand about the need for a stager, but her work convinced me of their usefulness.

Thank you for this testimonial Robin. Your house was quite an easy fix-up/fluff job since you have great taste and keep things well-organised. I'm happy that my additions felt natural and homey to you, and that they contributed to a quick and profitable sale!

My daughter moved away to go to university and I needed to reclaim my space - particularly my living room which was a cluttered mess. Shay quickly and efficiently identified which pieces needed to go and was able to reorganize the remaining furniture in a way that was both tasteful and useful. She has a strong sense of design but more than that, Shay is able to create a living space that reflects the tastes and needs of the people living there thus creating an atmosphere of personal style as well as comfort. My living room is reclaimed! Thanks, Shay!!

Shay has assisted me in a diverse selection of projects for both my professional needs and personal. Shay worked with me on the layout for my talk show set and audience areas, she has worked on video shoots as well as helping me stage a furnished suite. Shay has a great attitude and gets in there and works hard. She has a fabulous design sense and understands the importance of how a room makes you feel.
I highly recommend Shay's services.

Shay's company (Shaype) was recommended to me by my real estate agent after an (unsuccessful) effort to sell my house. Like many home-owners, I felt my house was in top-notch shape and did not need to be staged in order to attract prospective purchasers. Like many homeowners, I was wrong. After taking the house off the market for several months, we decided to list again, but this time I accepted my agent's advice and hired a stager with whom he had worked in the past. When Shay walked through the house, she quickly determined that I had gone overboard in my attempts to declutter, resulting in a sterile and unappealing atmosphere. She drew up a plan for each room of the home and was always conscious of the fact that I was not anxious to remove my furniture and replace it with rental items. She has a very pragmatic nature and combined a fairly small number of rented items with many small items from her own collection of decorative objects and created a much warmer and more inviting feeling throughout the house. She was able to use lighting and some screens and cleverly-hung fabric to create a comfortable "man-cave" in a very utilitarian basement. As an (unexpected) extra, Shay rolled up her sleeves and helped dust, polish and scrub certain areas that had previously been overlooked. Her enthusiasm for this type of work is infectious and I really enjoyed the time she spent in my home. The house sold for well above asking during the first open house and I truly believe that the interest and positive comments from prospective buyers and their agents was at least partly due to Shay's work. I was rather ambivalent about the idea of hiring a stager, but I won't hesitate to enlist her services when my new home needs to be looked at with a fresh pair of eyes.
