Garden Gnomes

Sick of not being able to properly get out of the car due to a narrow retaining wall that was also bowing (must have been a major design/structural flaw), my fiance and I decided we had to do something about it. After several quotes and meetings with other contractors, we decided to go with Garden Gnomes/Harbord Valley. Boy were we happy we did! Not only did we decide to do our retaining wall but we also ended up doing our whole front landscaping with them which included interlock driveway, natural stone steps, and an Ipe walkway. What a fantastic job they did. No kidding! Check out the pics! Tristan and Josh are nothing short of professional. First,Tristan did a CAD design based on our ideas we discussed and his own suggestions, which we loved. Then explained to us in detail how everything was broken out in the quote. He must have visited our place at least three times before we finally agreed on a design we liked. Talk about patience and dedication without even knowing he'd get the job. They worked within our budget and always suggested cost saving ideas as we had a very tight budget to work with. After hammering out details and signing on with them, they started two days later and showed up everyday at 8:30am. The completed job is fantastic and surpassed our expectations. They even explained how best to maintain and keep the deck looking great years down the line. These guys are very knowledgeable. They cleaned every evening before leaving, so that there was the least amount of dirt/mud possible. Especially important to us because of the sidewalk. We would highly recommend Garden Gnomes/Harbord Valley as their main goal is customer satisfaction and not to rush through a job to move on to the next one. We will definitely be using them again for the backyard!
