Avoid At All Costs

Just a failure on all fronts. Getting a stairlift from Motion was a terrible idea and we should have ran from the start. Incompetent installers botched the job not once, not twice, but 3 times. Came to find out, they were just subcontracting the installations. The manufacturer dropped the ball as well, by not doing their background work in this company. Stay far away from this place. Thankfully the manufacturer stepped in and took care of "SOME" of the issues. The lift is still problematic. And they have severed ties with Motion Specialties.

Gogo scooter

I purchased my gogo 2 years ago and was never told about any warranty on any parts until I did checking on a new one. So 6 days before the 2 year warranty was up I contacted them with an issue of no speed and bogging out and I brought it in and they charged me 75.00 for looking at it and said it was the batteries so I bought new batteries and still had an issue and it took them 5 days to get back to me once the warranty was up and then said it was the motor and would cover under warranty but then changed their mind and I paid 550.00 for a new one and still had issues so there only response was your too fat for it. I don't even meet the max weight. These people are very rude and will never deal with them again. I have their competitor company looking at it for free.

INCORRECT REPAIR AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

MY SCOOTER STOPPED WORKING SAFELY ON JUNE 15, 2022....JUST STOPPING BY ITSELF EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. A MOTION REPAIRMAN CAME ON JUNE 20. HE JUST GUESSED THAT IT WAS THE ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER. I ASKED IF HE HAD AN ELECTRONIC TESTER AND HE SAID NO. IT TOOK WEEKS TO GET THE PART. THEN HE INSTALLED THE PART ON JULY 18. HE HAD NO WAY TO TEST THE BATTERIES. THE SAME THING HAPPENED WHEN I TOOK MY SCOOTER OUT....STOPPED AND STARTED TO BEEP. A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP WAS VERY RUDE TO ME BECAUSE I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SERVICE. I HAD TO USE ANOTHER COMPANY, INMOTION. THE BATTERIES WERE NOT FUNCTIONING, NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CONTROLLER.

Service

My parents called for service on a weekend because their chair lift was not working properly and told there would be a service fee. The tech arrived and did nothing but wrote down what my father thought the problem might be. He then told them someone would be in touch first thing Monday morning, so tech spent about 5 minutes with them and no service was performed at all. After repeated calls on the Monday and finally reaching them mid -afternoon he cancelled having any service done with this company. 2 weeks later he receives a bill for $140.00 for a service call. If this is what this company is calling service God help anybody who uses them. Buyers Beware

mobility scooter for senior

Key broke in scooter and trying to get service since 10 April. They kindly ordered the key but didn't call me. Once telephoned they claimed to have it, set up an appointment last Friday and person didn't not show up following Monday. Called again and they said the person was no longer employed there???? Waiting for them to call me to install key so that scooter can be utilized this year. Seem to be getting the run around and impolite service. They may be understaffed?? but not good enough for an immobile senior. They don't answer the telephone or return calls. Last year was the same story they never returned calls for service to my 88 year old father. Would not recommend you purchase anything from these people. Same goes for trying to reach customer service at head office... never any answer. Stuck in my chair

Product service for wheelchair bound person

We have been trying for 2 months to get our daughters hoyer lift fixed. The Nurses & ourselves need the lift to move her. They promise to show up & to date no one has come. They do not even return our calls. Our government caseworker from ODSP has also tried to get us service & still nothing. Our daughter has cerebral palsy, has no use of her arms or legs, is blind, g-tube fed & mentally handicapped. We are not young & have a very difficult time moving her. I guess since they have use of their arms & legs on a daily basis it doesn't matter to them. The ADP program has paid Motion
specialities their portion of the equipment so I guess it doesn't matter when the equipment does not work.

Wheelchair Adjustments

I would not recommend this company to do any work - once they have the money from you, there are not at all helpful in making any adjustments needed. After spending almost $6,000 on equipment today I went in to ask for one minor adjustment, which they REFUSED TO DO. Noticed a big attitude change after they have your money - all of a sudden not so helpful anymore. This was the first and only adjustment we have requested - in fact, even took in the part that needed the minor adjustment, so they wouldn't have to come to my location. There were 3 SCREWS involved - they claimed it would take over half an hour, and they were "too busy" to do it. Incidentally, I called another similar provider in London to ask how long this adjustment would take ... only a few minutes, no appointment needed, come on in anytime. Obviously Motion Specialities only cares about getting their money, and don't place any value on after-sales service. Buy elsewhere or you'll be stranded ...
