We decided to turn our garage into a "man cave". From floor to ceiling, we wanted to have a very tasteful and professional look.

About midway through the design aspect of the project, I reached out to several electricians to get an estimate for lighting and heating.

Dan was not only able to provide reasonable pricing, he was VERY helpful with his suggestions on which lighting fixture would provide the look we were aiming for. In addition, given his experience on previous projects, he helped me find a better solution for a heater. He went as far as using his vendor to get me discounted pricing without any markup.

He completed the project on time and within budget. Without a doubt, he is our go to electrician going forward.

I hired Dan's company on two projects for the basement - to relocate the electrical panel to another wall, and to wire the basement for over 40 pot lights, and plugs/switches. Dan was a pleasure to work with - always on time, very helpful and ready to answer any question, and also accommodating to any requests I had.

Dan was prompt during the initial consultation as well as during the renovation day. He provided all the possible options and explained some of the risks. Compared to the other quotes/consultations I got, Dan was straightforward and did not try to up sell or make the project sound more complicated. During the renovation day, he took his time (measured twice and cut once) to avoid any unnecessary damage or repairs in the ceiling. In the end, it was perfect and exactly what we had hoped for.

My wife and I decided to renovate the kitchen to make the area more functional and increase the over-all value of our home. After designing, the decision was made to strip the old kitchen back to the studs and completely rebuild the interior. It was a complicated job because we would be dealing with 220, 110 and 12 volt (transformers) power supplies. To further complicate the job I asked Dan to assess my shop/garage power supply. I am a custom metal fabrication and welding professional. I have converted a three car garage into a fabrication area but, as I did the initial wiring myself and my power demands stretched into mig, tig, stick and flux-core welding processes, I was having difficulty with breakers, heat sensors and they were slowing me down. Dan came in and assessed the entire situation. He increased the incoming power from the main lines from 100 to 200 amps, installed a new and much expanded breaker box because the appliances in new kitchen design required a number of independent outlets. He also installed a number of pot-lights and puck lights to meet the design specifications. From there he moved into the shop and installed a 100 amp breaker box feeding a number of 20 and 30 amp services around the building, as well as accommodating for the rigid demands of my welders.
Because I work at home I was able to observe, first hand, all the activity that took place during the entire procedure and as a result, I would recommend Lorion to anyone in need of the services. They are focused, clean, fast, knowledgeable and very helpful with regard to the demands and requirements of certification inspectors. Finding hard working, conscientious trades people who care about the quality of their work and the reputation that accompanies quality work is hard to find, but you will find it with Dan and Lorion Electric.
