Northern Elements Roofing

In the fall we hired Northern Elements Roofing to re-shingle our roof. This company is a one man operation and with the raining weather it took about 2 months to get the roof completed. The job was finished on December 1st but the final product looked good. I paid in full the day after completion, however the owner did not have my warranty paperwork. After back and forth messaging I finally got my paperwork on February 16th. Then on May 4th there was a storm (winds close to 100km/h) and 6 to 8 cap shingles blew off the roof. I contacted the owner right away with pictures and was told he would be out on Monday May 7th to do the repairs. To make a long story short he no showed that date and miss a few other promised timelines. Texts were sometimes responded to but not always. Finally after waiting 10 weeks (and not hearing from him for the last 2 weeks) I hired someone else. It took them lest than a half hour to complete the repairs. The pictures below are how my roof looked while I waited for this company to honour their word. Overall the workmanship was fine but the stress and frustration of never knowing what was going on wasn't worth it.
