Door Surgeon

I should have read the reviews before I hired them, but got taken in by their flyers and just hired them. I should have gotten a quote for the work to be done before I had then start. The first visit was very nice and pleasant, but I had them come back a second time to adjust my garage door and something didn't seem on the up and up. I had to have him back to do an adjustment on my garage interior door. He didn't show up when he was supposed to and shifted my appointment twice. Felt like one he got the money, he didn't care to come back for free. I checked to make sure I wouldn't be charged for the adjustment and David said "sure,
we can go with that" which seemed like a very odd reply. He arrived with a second staff member person wearing a security jacket and I felt unsure about things. They entered my house and adjusted my garage door and things got weird regarding the adjustment, The two of them ganged up on me, and created a different story as to what really happened. They falsely accused me and it was two against one. I wish I would have
videoed them. A week after
my doorknobs were installed the push in lock on one failed. I felt worried about calling about it due to their behaviour, I didn't want them back in my house. One they get your money things change. Very immature, unsavoury, unethical, bullying, unprofessional business practices and behaviour. I originally wrote a great report, but have changed it to a
zero. Very immature individuals. Avoid this business at all costs.

This is an Edmonton company now in Calgary. For a service call, diagnosis and spring replacement/cable testing on a garage door opener we were charged a whopping $845. The breakdown was not included in the emailed invoice but we were given an itemization when we called to complain: Diagnosis $59, Service call $125, 2 springs $216, and over 3 hours labour for the remainder. Standard time to do this is 30-40 mins. Standard charges all in are $270.00.
