installation of a new gas furnace

This company is irresponsible and incompetent - stay away from them! I purchased a gas furnace in May of 2013 and had several installation problems. I later discovered the company did not install a filter rack, but they failed to show-up to install it. I hired another company to perform the work, which involved the replacement of all of the venting work above the furnace. Then I discovered the furnace does not operate - the LED caution light indicates major problems. The company I hired to look into it is recommending replacement of the entire furnace because the furnace was improperly installed and the repair bill is likely to exceed $1000.00; High Efficiency Homes will not honor their warranty on parts or labor. Long story short; I paid $4,300.00 (and counting!) for a furnace that has never operated.

Installed furnace

This company offered a $69 furnace cleaning/inspection. When the technician arrived he suggested I get a newer energy efficient furnace. I agreed to do so and then had huge regret dealing with this company. The technician advised that the new furnace would be much quieter than my existing furnace and it's actually much louder than my old furnace. They showed up at lease 2 hrs. late on 2 occasions, and they installed the furnace and ducting improperly (an energy assessment company rep. later called the installation "bush league"), I also had to have them come 2 days after installation because there was a slow gas leak (due to the new installation). They were also supposed to come back and put a cap on the old ducting and return a tool they borrowed, and after 3 assurances from their office and 3 times not showing up, I finally gave up.
The worst experience I've ever had dealing with a company.
