Second floor addition and renovation
My wife and I were looking for a builder to build a second floor addition to our one floor bungalow, to renovate the first floor and the basement, and to have a face lift to the exterior of the house, so that it would look like a new build.
We have collected quotes from 5 builders/general contractors, whom we found on the homestars.
My wife and I were very skeptical and could not really decide on the contractor. We were very nervous about the potential of increasing costs, time fame, and the possibility of contractor running away without finishing the job! It did happen to our friends, so we decided not to use a world of mouth!
What made us choose Triple Diamond Homes is that they offer "Don't pay until it's built" concept. The payment was due upon the total completion of the project.
The offer had stayed firm through the whole project. We did ask to throw in some updates for which we paid, other than that we had nothing to complain about.
