Drive Way Seal

I emailed John and very quickly received the quote for the job with the good sealer, not the cheap stuff. I prepaid for the service so I was a bit nervous, but they showed up and did a fantastic job! I will definitely call John again! I had a couple of people on my street ask me who did the job and I refer them to call John. And yes I was so proud of the job they did I took the picture with their sign at the end of the driveway! My father in law thought I got a new driveway! Don't go cheap, do it right the first time!

Snow Removal. (Halton Snow Removal owned & operated by the Driveway Doctor)

Hired Halton Snow Removal (owned and operated by the Driveway Doctor) for snow removal service in December, 2016. Paid extra for snow removal by snow blower to protect my newly installed driveway. Despite the contract, the company used a plow causing over $8,000 damage. I cancelled the service immediately. The owner was un-professional, suggesting that I have no right to cancel because of the 60 day contract notice. He had no consideration for the damage, and tried to intimidate me with his wife's connection to a law firm. He breached the contract, caused damage and left us with the cleanup. "0" stars.

First and foremost we have repeatedly informed this client that we did NOT use our plow on her driveway or cause damage. We have spoken to the driver and asked him if he used the snow blower or the plow on her driveway without informing him of the complaint so that his answer would not be affected by knowledge and his answer was he never once dropped a plow blade on her driveway. He did note that the last time he attended the property the snow was already cleared which he thought they may have shoveled themselves however after hearing this complaint we believe its possible another plow company cleared her driveway by mistake. We did have another client not far from her tell us that one of our competitors (I wont name here) was clearing her driveway by mistake as well so its entirely possible.

In an effort to provide good customer service the owner of The Driveway Doctor Inc offered to go look at her driveway and see if it can be fixed for her but that cannot happen until the spring. No Company can do concrete repair work in the winter. Unfortunately rather than taking us up on our offer to assist her she instead began slandering our company all over the internet. We use the world slander because that is what a negative review about a company based on false pretense is. If it was our company that caused the damage we would have no problem owning up to the issue but we did NOT cause the damage. We carry $5 million in general liability insurance for this specific reason but since we did NOT cause the damage we cannot file an insurance claim.

Unfortunately now we have someone slandering us under false pretense for something that we did not do.

As for her complaint about the 60 days termination clause. She is right in regards to us having a 60 day notice to terminate requirement HOWEVER we never did force her to follow that clause. Even though we know for a fact that we did not cause the damage this person has trust issues with our company and so we understood this and canceled the contract for her with no financial penalty to her. She additionally sent the owner an email telling him that she does not believe he is being un-professional but now that he has said he cannot pay for damages that his company didn’t cause she is saying he is unprofessional.

The biggest problem with review sites like these is people can post inaccurate or even false reviews, both negative and positive. We are confident that majority of the people reading this know there is always two sides to every story.

This review is seriously flawed.

Sealing Stamped Concrete, concrete and paving stone's around pool

Initially I was very impressed at the professionalism and promptness in providing a quote and booking the job. The work in the back yard around the pool and the papers was amazing. However upon close inspection of the stamped concrete there was an issue. The spray on sealant pooled in low spots and high spots had no coverage. Many bare patches of concrete. After much complaining the company sent a service tech out to rectify the problem. I found out after that meant multiple spray overs without drying time in between. The pooling and coverage issues remain. Furthermore it is way to slippery to walk on. This company has refused to deal with this issue. In sum, for plain concrete, asphalt and paving stone, excellent work! DO NOT USE FOR STAMP DECORATIVE CONCRETE.

It is truly unfortunate that this client cannot tell the entire story so allow me to fill in the gaps she left.

First and foremost people should review the other reviews below on our stamped concrete sealing. The reviews are excellent and the surface is not slippery.

Now for the gaps in the review... This client rents the house out and does not live there. Our tech went and did a very throughout cleaning of the concrete and interlock. We applied two coats of sealer which we call "tru-Color Enhanced". This sealer amplifies the color of stone or concrete but does not create that glassy shine. This is the sealer the client chose. She was offered a high gloss product but she opted for the tru-color enhanced.

After two coats were applied she is correct there was some bare patches in the concrete. I was surprised because the particular tech that serviced her property gets rave reviews from virtually every client they service. There was a slight delay in rescheduling service because we were already scheduled on other client properties and we did not want to cancel the other clients and inconvenience them so we told this client that we would have to schedule her back in on our first available opening.

When our tech arrived we did see the bare patches. We applied another coat and instantly the sealer disappeared only on this patches. Our client's tenant was present and confirmed there must be something wrong with the concrete as we have never seen anything like this before.

The client that wrote this negative review insisted we continue to apply coats until the patches were gone. We warned her that the more coats we apply the more slippery it will get. She still insisted on taking that chance so we went ahead and did what she wanted at a cost that came out of our pocket not her's.

Fast forward to only a week ago and her tenant contacted us and asked how does she make it less slippery. I informed her of her landlord's decision and the only way would be to strip the sealer down.

This client then contacted us, during a snow storm, and insisted that we send someone to strip the concrete and reapply more sealer. I politely informed her that she was warned this could happen and she insisted on us proceeding. I also informed her that it is impossible to strip the concrete and seal it again now because it is WINTER and encouraged her to take notice of the snow on her driveway. She then persisted that we must do something about it now and not wait until spring and I again politely informed her that our staff cannot operate power washers in the winter in -10c weather. I also informed her that all our sealer suppliers are CLOSED for the winter and we cannot access product. Not even the stripping agents!

Now she posts this negative review which is quite frankly pathetic. She got exactly what she wanted even though we advised against it and now she is mad because we cannot change it for her in the WINTER.

I am confident that our other viewers on Homestars will get a good laugh at the demands this client tried to place on us…. IN THE WINTER….

Driveway Seaing

We decided to seal our driveway this year as well as my parents property. I searched and found The Driveway Doctor and are we ever happy that we did!

They provided a quote via Google Earth watch and it was spot on!

The whole process was a breeze - Jaime was punctual and the job was amazing!

We are beyond pleased and would highly recommend them without a second thought.

Thank you again Driveway Doctor - you have a customer for life!

Ella & Terry, it has been a true pleasure working with you and our crew enjoyed servicing both of your properties. Scheduling was difficult with your other contractors but I am so happy that we were able to work that out and get your driveways restored and protected for the winter. I hope you both have a very nice winter season and we look forward to maintaining your driveways again in the years to come!

Snow removal

Please note the review is asking for me to put in the price I paid for the snow removal service and I can't remember so please understand I just put a number in to let me complete the review.

Two years ago I needed help for winter plowing of my drive and walkway.
John was prompt to call me back and he always gave a progress report during every storm to let me know when he or his team would be by.
I highly recommend The Driveway Doctor as they are reliable and trustworthy unlike others I have hired in previous years.

Driveway repair

This was the most horrible contractor I have ever dealt with.
The company called me continuously and did not even have the decency to meet with me to discuss my project and needs.

The person on the phone said they could do the job then arrived to my home when no one was home and completed a job we did not even ask for. Upon making a complaint the rep had the workers go back and I was then told that they could not do the job.

They lack professionalism and they only sealed my driveway. Still cracks shown and did not finish my side area which is shared with my neighbour. I had my hands tied to pay for service that was completed for a job I did not even ask for.

Terrible business and poor work done. Hire real professionals.

I have flagged this review for investigation. We do not have people that tell clients over the phone that we can do work. Everything is done via email. This person claims they did not order our services but we would have no way of having them in our client software if they did not (again, nothing is done verbally with our company, everything is in writing). I also have no complaints from anyone saying we did work that was not ordered. And last but not least the comment about cracks is a little off. We offer a crack repair service with all sealing (again, in writing, not verbally) so if they didnt get cracks fixed they most likely didnt order the service (which they claim they didnt order anything). Too many things dont add up in this review. It would be helpful if the person contacted us directly or didnt hide behind a private user label.
