Fairbairn Home And Building Inspection

I was checking online for a home inspector and found David's site. True to the reviews I read online, David was very professional. He answered questions clearly; returned calls asap and responded quickly in emails.

David inspected a condo my wife and I were looking to purchase and did an amazing job. His customer service was top notch. He patiently answered all our questions and we had a lot of them as first time home buyers. He was more than happy to let us join him as he inspected the unit, roof, boiler room, common areas, mechanical room and underground parking. He was very thorough and took the time to explain what he was testing for and point out things to be on the lookout for as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend David to anyone looking for a home inspector, you won't be disappointed.

David did an extremely thorough job. He walked us through his finding and gave us suggestions regarding what we might expect in the future. He tested everything including the household appliances. He even brought along an extra tape measure so we could take our own measurements! He answered all our questions and provided us with a comprehensive 25 page report right after we concluded the inspection. We would (and have) highly recommend David!

David is really friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time going through the whole house very thorughly and explaining in great detail what needed to be done. We asked David to inspect a house for us in maple ridge, he was extremely knowledgable on all the buildings codes and general safety hazards that house would have caused. In the end he saved us from buying a lemon of a house by doing a thorough inspection.

David was a great home inspector, he was very thorough at inspecting the common property and our unit. In addition, his report was easy to read and understand.

We have just completed building a new home (with two units) in Grandview Area in Vancouver. Before the final inspection by the City we I wanted a thorough inspection by an outside inspector.

We had David Fairbairn carry out the inspection. We are glad we did, as he spend 3 hours and checked the structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, insulation, roof and landscape.

He provided a comprehensive report with photos and listed several items
that needed remedy and our builder happily attended to them. We feel so

David was really patient with my questions on site and by email. He is friendly and explains issues with me thoroughly so that I understand what the problems are, future risks, etc. I could tell he enjoys what he does and shadowing him throughout the inspection was fun and informative. If he didn't know the answer to my question, he would call his contacts who are experts in that field to get their opinions instead of giving me a quick answer. I got his report within a day and it was easy to read with photos and descriptions. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that is looking for an inspector.
