Jason provided a quick estimate as soon as we asked. Within a week they came to install. Alex did a fantastic job. He was professional and courteous. He noticed that I had a damaged shingle and replaced it for me. He even replaced a vent that I wanted to change but couldn't reach. When he was done, the only indication that he was ever there was the great looking eave troughs. Great price and incredible work. I highly recommend this company.

Jason and his team re-roofed our house several years ago; when a fire damaged our garage roof, I didn't hesitate to contact Jason. His crew were professional and cleaned up after themselves; I've yet to find a wayward nail or shingle. There was some confusion as to the start date of the project; it didn't impact our day-to-day world, so it was not a problem.

Jason was great to work with and kept me updated on when work was being done and completed. His quote was competitive and his advice was honest. Most of the work was done while I was away and he kept me up to date with phone calls and pictures. When the work was done it was like no one was there because they did an awesome cleaning up which was greatly appreciated. I would recommend Kovar contracting without reservation because it’s the little things that set client service apart. They even removed the old satellites from the backyard shed and disposed them for me which was above my expectation.

The job was done very quickly and in a professional manner. It was actually interesting and fun to watch the crew at work on my roof.

I was very pleased with the overall work. Jason communicated in a timely and professional matter and was on top of all the admin. He provided fair and competitive quotes and updated my housing section on any updates with regards to delays in the roofing project. My roofing guarantee certificate was provided in the mail about a week after the roofing job was done and this fact was communicated by Jason through email. The only nitpicking point for improvement was that there were some granules of roofing material (the size of sand) left on my ledge of my house and on the patio stones. This of course washed/blew away with the rain/wind in the days following the job. This is such a minor point, but I thought I should mention it in order to provide an overall accurate and detailed Homestars review. The team seemed very professional, the foremen was nice and on top of that my roof looks great! I also appreciated the fact that Jason took my calls to answer my roofing questions at night (the only time I had available to call). Overall, if I needed to get a roof done again, I would go with Kovar. 5 stars all-around.

With 6 home owners in a row house complex, we found that all the other company's estimates to be confusing and inconsistent. Using high tech satellite imagery, Kovar Contracting was the only company out of 5 potentials that provided truly accurate and fair estimates; and they were also the lowest price we found. Jason Kovar met with all the residents and answered all of our questions. The job itself was perfect. Jamie (Jason's Lead) enthusiastically owned all questions, concerns, and requests. The cleanup was also perfect as far as I can tell. I haven't found a single nail yet. Very impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail.

Jason's crew replaced the roof, vents and skylights on our house last summer. Our roof is large (40 square), high pitch (12/12) with lots of valleys, two dormers and most of the back half is partially vaulted.

It took over a week with a few rainy days thrown in. I worked from home during this time and watched the entire process. Despite the relatively high degree of difficulty Jason's crew did an excellent job. A year later I'm still very happy with the job they have done.

The most important part of this experience was that when a few problems arose during the process Jason was quick to respond and resolve them.

The reason I took away a star here is because there over 100 nails and screws left in the grass around the house once the crew was done (I ran a rolling magnet several times to pick them up) and the crew did some damage to eavestroughs. Both of these were fairly minor issues though and I'm still happy with Jason's team's work overall

Jason Kovar and his crew are well organized and did an excellent job of replacing my shingles.
Contract is well laid out and presented details of materials being used and guarantees.
The whole job was completed in one day. Clean up was thorough.
Kovar's price was very competitive with other roofers!

Jason and his crew are very professional. We had a few companies going through for quotes, and he is the one that points out all the problems he observed, and others missed. His team did a great job for updating our roof vents (adding some and deleting some), added 2 vent for the bathroom vents, ordered and cap our chimney for the decommissioned fireplace, replaced all the eavethroughs and put in a better system of downspout. All these job was not just nicely done, in a timely fashion but they also clean up on the site after they are done. Highly recommend their work!
