I went through a major kitchen renovation last year and dealt with many tradespeople. Honestly, Alex was exceptional. Not only did he do the job really well, but his price was more than fair and he paid attention to detail, which is really important to me.
He also went beyond all expectations. For example, he resolved an unrelated electrical problem on his own accord and at no extra cost. He recommended approaches that were better than what the contractor had originally planned. He installed an extra outlet at no charge. He also did the job at the price we had agreed to initially; even though the job was bigger than he had anticipated.
What's more, he provided all supplies, which made my life easier. He was here on time, every time. I could have had the general contractor do the electrical work but I wanted to make sure that it was done correctly, by someone with an expertise and who knows the code. Alex was that person. Moreover, he got the permit for the job and he's so well known to the inspector in this area that the inspection was done over the phone (the inspector just asked him what he'd done and felt no need to come out to inspect). If everyone I had dealt with had been as professional and good at what he did as Alex, my reno would have been a breeze!
