A friend recommended Artisan Custom Homes for a kitchen renovation and our experience was a very positive one. After seeking several quotes, we decided to work with Ken at Artisan - who was slightly more expensive but his his quoting process seemed thorough and inclusive. It is important to breakdown renovation projects clearly up front so that there are no surprises during the process (a cheaper quote could just mean hidden costs later in the project). We started with the ensuite bathroom and were very pleased with the final outcome so we moved onto the the larger kitchen project. This project went very well and the kitchen looks stunning. Ken helped us design an efficient kitchen space with at least triple the counter and cupboard space. When the gutting was done and the rebuild started, Ken was very responsive to last minute tweaks/changes in design which did not add significant cost to the project. That flexibility was very important to us versus being fully committed to a kitchen that has been built up front. The project took 2 weeks longer than planned due to a supply issue of internal cupboard components...but Ken was in constant communication with us regarding the adjusted timing and managed our frustration with the delay well. Also, Ken was very responsive to any post-build adjustments or repairs that were required - with large projects like a kitchen there will always be fine tuning that is required and it is important to have a contractor who stands behind his work. Ken definitely does. A couple of years later Ken built our screened in sun room - another stunning space built quickly and efficiently. Once again, Ken was available to handle any touch ups/modifications. I would recommend Artisan Homes without hesitation for your renovation needs if you are looking for a contractor who is knowledgeable, uses high quality products, is clean and accommodating during the renovation process, who works fast and stands behind his work.
