Jorian is very meticulous, professional and possesses an amazing level of commitment to his craftsmanship. This is the 2nd time we've had work done by him. He will spend the time mapping out the orientation of the tiles so that each and every tile will align seamlessly. It's such an incredible sight when your tiles are beautifully laid out. If you want to be assured that you will get the best work done look no further as Jorian is the best in the business.
I wholeheartedly recommend him hands down.

Can’t Say enough great things about Jorian’s work. we have had Jorian at our home three times now for jobs and I wouldn’t hire anyone else. His tiling is superb and looks fantastic. He always showed up when he said he would. Super nice guy and fantastic work.

A few years ago, Jorian did an awesome job installing our kitchen backsplash [see my 1st review]. Fast-forward to Fall 2020 and it was no question that Jorian/Micom Tileworks was the only pro for our ensuite's custom full shower reno project. He was very helpful with suggestions and ideas for making sure the demo and prep went according to plan. Even though we had a huge delay resulting from our other/main bathroom reno project [nothing related to Jorian], he kept in contact regularly and remined totally patient and professional throughout until we were finally ready for him to install in Dec, 2020.

As usual, he arrived every day on time and was consistently pleasant, cheerful and friendly. His many skills were evident and he made sure every aspect of his prep, Schluter system/waterproofing, tiling and grouting was all done to his extremely high standards. He invested himself in wanting to ensure that everything was done right the first time, and the results clearly speak for themselves. He helped us to lay out and confirm the total pattern design in our dining room that resulted in the marble veining flow together on the ceiling and the walls like they are from a slab!

Upon close inspection, all of Jorian's cuts are sharp and even, with no jagged edges. He installed every tile flat/level/square, and they are all installed flat with zero lippage. All of his grout lines are the same: even spaced and perfectly straight. The same goes for all of the floor tiles, the [hidden] floor drain, and the in-floor heating system he installed. He made sure the floor and wall tiles all line up perfectly, and that the floor design flows together with the wall tiles. He patiently worked with us to ensure the Schulter trim and grout colours were the best match possible, and we are so pleased with the final results.

These are just a few or the many reasons why we feel so grateful that Jorian installed our marble masterpiece. Everyone who has seen our shower, including tradespeople working on our main bathroom reno project, have given huge compliments about how incredible his tiling job is. We are so thrilled with the whole project that we of course got Jorian back for our main bathroom tub/shower reno project afterwards [separate review to follow].
Jorian is a super nice guy that is a reliable, honest, hard-working and expert/master tile setter and he treated our whole project like it was is own home. Do yourself a favour and get Jorian to do your tiling project also.

We hired Jorian back in December 2019 to work on our master bathroom, kitchen backsplash and adding stone panels to one of our fireplaces. We waited 9 months to write this review to see if there would be any deficiencies and there were none. His work is been superbly done and it's a very high quality workmanship. We highly recommend Jorian and we will definitely hire him again!

Jorian did an amazing job of our kitchen backsplash. We had a lot of wall to cover, and our kitchen had some hurdles to overcome (like uneven walls), all of which he worked around masterfully. I can't imagine it looking any better than it does.

Additionally, Jorian was super easy to work with, as well as kind and responsive. We would definitely hire him again for a job in the future.

After receiving several quotes for a bathroom re-tiling project, I decided on Jorian, Micom Tileworks, because he gave me a very good impression upon our first meeting and following correspondence via email -- primarily, he came across as very authentic and sincere. He was also polite and was attentive to my concerns and questions. He also took pride in his specialized skill of tilework. Based on my experiences with other contractors and tilework, I have found that many contractors do not necessarily do a proper job. Consequently, quality and aesthetics are compromised. So I was curious to see if a tilework specialist would make a difference -- it certainly did! Moreover, Jorian was reliable -- he commenced work in the timeline cited, and completed the job thoroughly and in a reasonable time frame --which is to say, he did not rush to complete the job, but took the necessary time to do the job well. I highly recommend Jorian as he is highly skilled in his area of expertise and practises an ethics code rare in the contraction industry.

I'm a very picky when it comes to hiring contractors as I can do most jobs myself and I find many people just rush to get the job done and don't take care with the finer details. Jorian did a great job on our kitchen backsplash tiles. I really like how he laid out the tile and the grouting looks great! I would definitely recommend him to others and any future tiling jobs I will be going with Micom Tileworks. Thanks for the great job!

In the past five years, we have had Jorian complete tile work in two bathrooms, including the installation of heated floors and walk-in shower. During our kitchen renovation he installed backsplash tile. Most recently, a complete floor tiling of our newly renovated utility room and wine cellar.

Jorian is an absolute perfectionist in his art of laying tile. You will not be disappointed in his skill set, professionalism and complete customer satisfaction with any job that he completes. He is open to your ideas on design and tile selection.

Highly recommended if you want a job completed on time & that exceeds your expectations. Book ahead as he is a busy and sought after individual that shines out in his trade!

After meeting and going over the project, he provided a fair quote in a timely manner.
Jorian was always upfront about his workload and availability and we were flexible with the scheduled date.
He made great suggestions regarding the layout of the tiles in our two bathrooms and did an amazing job installing our hexagonal floor tiles as well as the tub surrounds.
He also ensured that we were in agreement with the ditra heating layout, trim, and grout colours.
Communication was always great and quality of installation was superb!
