Shane did a major renovation. It looks very nice. The HVAC was a
butcher job using old ducting and very uncoordinated with the architectural designer, poorly thought through.

From Sept 2020 to March 2021 SR completed a two-storey addition on our hundred-year old house, as well as a full main floor renovation, and renovating our second floor hallway, bathroom, and adding a laundry room.

All the team members were great to work with, from tailoring our design, to planning the renovation, to making selections, to financial admin, and project management. We greatly appreciated having recommendations of local businesses to work with for kitchen, bath, flooring, paint and other selections. SR has long-term relations with various skilled trades, we are very happy with their reliability and high quality craftsmanship.

A huge advantage of SR is working with an excellent project manager who coordinates all aspects of timing and quality control of the renovation. This meant we had one point of contact for any of our questions, which was a huge time and stress saver.

SR’s experience working in older homes was a tremendous asset to keeping the original charm of our house. They we were well organized with all aspects of ordering materials and coordinating people, as well as keeping us on track with timing of selections. Our entire renovation was completed during the pandemic - any delays were out of their control or were a result of our additional requests.

The costs may initially seem high, but having a full time project manager, having things completed on time, and done with care and quality, is well worth it!!

Shane Renovations did an excellent job overhauling our main floor and bathroom. Our project was completed on schedule. All staff, trades and suppliers were professional, helpful and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend Shane Renovations!

The team of Shane Renovations Inc. was great from beginning to the end. They helped us efficiently with the project planning, suggested a couple of very well thought through changes (which we adopted) and once it started, they worked hard every day (team including site manager on site from 7.30 am to the later afternoon). The entire project was so well organized and everything was dealt with in timely manner. The house renovation and second floor addition was done in 4 month and we even got back into our finished house a bit earlier then expected! We really appreciate their hard work and we love the final product. Enjoying every day in our new version of the house. Thanks to all of you!

We bought a 70 year old story and a half with a finished basement, basement three-piece, first floor three-piece and four bedrooms. We chose the second floor as our master bedroom, but there was no washroom on that floor. We contracted with Shane to remove dual closets separating the two bedrooms, add a three-piece in that space, and to open the attic spaces in both bedrooms to provide new, larger closets with pocket doors, We are delighted with the results! Lots of communication with the project manager, often daily. The project was finished a week earlier than expected!!

Main floor renovation including kitchen and extension and complete addition of a second floor. This project included a modern addition onto a 1935 era war time bungalow. The front of the home remained unchanged in order to keep the curb appeal of the neighbourhood.

Overall we are pleased with the Work quality and experience we had working with Shane. Any bumps in the road were met with open and solution focused dialogue. To ease the transition into our new space the Shane team maintains a relationship and as questions may pop up, Shane is ready and available to respond.

A few extra costs here and there but overall within reason and kept very close to our timeline.

This review is months overdue. We hired Shane Renovations to construct an addition to our existing kitchen which was a full gut job. We cannot fully express how thrilled we are with our new kitchen. Upon our initial meeting with Shane we were very impressed with his manner and suggestions. Dom and his team did an exceptional job. They were friendly, hard working and respectful. Dom was extremely helpful and accommodating. The subcontractors did a great job too. This renovation has had a major impact on us - it is an absolute pleasure to be in our kitchen now and we are very grateful to Shane Renovations for making this dream a reality. A fabulous company!

We hired Shane to design and renovate our 115yr old century home. This was a large undertaking opening almost all walls, putting in new eletrical throughout, new hardwood floor, porcelain floors, complete open-concept kitchen & bath reno and removing 3 structural walls. Shane managed this project efficiently and professionally. They went out of their way to walk us through the entire process to helping us select materials and even receiving all our deliveries/ materials (as we were not living in the house during time of construction). The quality of Shane's work and their professional team of experts (Lucas, Robyn, Shay) made our renovation experience completely stress free. We only trust Shane's work and highly recommend Shane.

I would highly recommend Shane’s Renovations for anyone’s home renovations. Lucas and his crew are highly skilled professionals that go above and beyond when it comes to your home and the details that go into it. Our home is over a hundred years old and we knew there was going to be unforeseen problems but the guys always came up with great solutions and didn’t let these issues slow them down. I always looked forward to coming home and getting an update from one of the guys to how the day went.
They literally built the first floor from the ground up again which was not a small feat. They took on the challenge and we are grateful for that and are welcoming them back for the rest of our projects!

We hired Shane Renovations to do an addition on our house, a four-month job requiring us to move out for the duration. From start to finish they were professional, friendly, and clear on what we could expect. They provided support for all aspects of the job, from the initial design, to selection of finishes, right through to final inspection, which made the renovation much less stressful for us. Our project manager, Lucas, was amazing (as was his team) - he was on top of everything, always got back to us right away, and answered our many questions with patience. Our neighbours, who put up with four months of construction, can't stop talking about how professional and polite all the workers were and how clean the job site was! In addition to their high-quality work and excellent reputation, we found their use of technology to be really helpful - we were able to see the architectural plans in a 3-D modelling app, which made it much easier to imagine what the finished project would look like, and they use Buildertrend for the project management, which let us keep track of the job calendar, payments, and selections we needed to make. Given how big the renovation was, we were amazed at how accurate they were at estimating when it would be finished: all stages of the project were pretty much on schedule, and we were able to move back in exactly when we expected. Plus, the final cost did not stray far from the original budget (and much of that was us adding "extras" as the work progressed). We're so happy with our "new" house, and are already making a list of new projects for Shane to do!
