Aire Serv has the best customer service. When I called, their respond is quick and accurate. The cost is affordable. I also learnt a lot about my furnace from Blake. I will highly recommend Aire Serv to the people I know.
Our gas furnace went down with a grinding noise and a bad smell on the middle of the night on new years eve, we shut it down and started a frantic search for a repairman, only AIRESERV answered our call and set up and appointment ASAP, Blake come in and gave us a cause and estimate in writing from there, the broken blower took until after the holidays to arrive but we were assured we had priority due to no heat, Grant installed the unit in no time and thank goodness we have heat again, thanks AIRESERV you are real pros and deliver what you promise.

As a new customer we are very happy to receive the compliment of "Excellent". We strive to exceed expectations and develop a solid customer base with our annual HVAC maintenance plans with two annual visits to your home.
As you can see by the photo's that our Service Specialist took, our Air Conditioner was in badly need of a cleaning. Plus, we noticed that the unit was malfunctioning with the temperature on the thermostat, by not shutting off when it reached the "set" temperature in the house. Instead, the unit would keep on running, in some cases- all night long! Blake (from Air Serv.) was given the tough task to diagnose, clean, and then rewire our house to fix the problem. He was very knowledgeable in knowing what to do to fix the problems and surprisingly, it took him a couple of days to complete it. We were also grateful that Blake noticed a problem with the wiring from the thermostat to the unit in the basement/ outside. He was able to remove tonnes of incorrect wires that were in there previously and now we feel much safer with the new wiring that he installed for us. However, we continued experiencing the same problems with the unit not shutting off. So, we called on the owner (Glenn) to come over to see if he could diagnose what was wrong. In the end, he removed an "over ride" piece of machinery from the unit outside and appears to have solved the problem for good! This happened last summer and afterwards, we have never experienced any other problems with the Air conditioner since. We are hoping that is the case again this summer, when the weather warms up. This was our first time ever calling Aire Serv for help and I would highly recommend them in the future!

The repair team from AireServ (Brent and Shawn) arrived on time and ready to get going. Brent explained what he was doing as he worked on the replacement part and Shawn removed the old ventilation piping.
The job was conducted professionally and quickly. Final paperwork was explained and not rushed with additional care to future contact information and services available.

We had chosen Aire Serv based on their reviews but they definitely didn’t deliver the high standard of quality customer service as mentioned. Glenn had come to our home and measured our hvac systems and water tank. We had advised Glenn we wanted a larger water tank to accommodate our everyday lifestyle. Glenn had mentioned that it’s not an issue and not too much more in price to have a larger water tank. Once the water tank had arrived it was the exact same size we currently have and when we called Aire Serve that we received the wrong tank they said we had to pay an additional amount for the larger size which was a disappointment as we already thought we were paying for a larger size tank. At that point we were hoping that no other issues would arise, but that was not the case. The install was to take up to three days but the installers definitely wanted to leave for a nice early afternoon on the second day. As the installation wasn’t completed and properly evaluated. The Air Conditioning was not leveled and the refrigerant lines weren’t sealed in the back until mentioned twice to the installers, the back of the furnace was not sealed which let a lot of unnecessary heat out. The exhaust pipes are three feet long and due to standard they are supposed to wrapped with installation which wasn’t done. When we asked why the exhaust PVC pipes are so long they weren’t able to give a reason if that was standard or not. Plus the vent screen on the PVC pipes keeps popping off. We were thankful that Glenn was able to come back and fix the furnace and AC leveling. But it didn’t end their, three months had gone by and we hadn’t received our OPA HVAC rebate when I called air serve they had sent the documents to the wrong email address for signature. We were very disappointing as rebates needed to be submitted before the end of the year. We definitely won’t recommend Aire Serv unless you want to be served with a headache.
Due to the anonymity of this review,and that the installation took place 4 months ago, it took me a bit to retrieve the details. The size of water tank that you initialed approval for was clearly stated on the invoice. Sometimes there is confusion regarding U.S. gallons and Canadian litres. As you stated, Glenn returned and resolved the outstanding issues with the installation and upon checking the OPA Rebate site, your rebate submission was finalized December 5, 2016 and is currently filed in our "PAID" section. When the rebate cheque is issued, once submission is finalized, is out of our control. Sometimes there are hiccups with a job, however; we are all human and mistakes can be made. We are confident that there are no further pending issues.
This company performed unauthorized work at my property.
A tech came with my permission to solely diagnose a problem with my furnace. Upon leaving he handed me a bill for more than double what it was to cost just to diagnose my furnace. The technician was adamant that payment for this work was required and I didn't feel in a position to get into a heated debate in front of my tenants while on my property.
I gave the cheque to him to leave and shortly after called his office to report the problem. I spoke with Karen (the owner/ owner's wife) and she had agreed that she would get back to me after speaking with her technician. After about a week, my cheque was withdrawn from my account and had received no phone call. I called the day after and spoke with Karen. She claimed to speak with her technician and told me that he thought I was aware he was doing work. I then asked about why they had deposited a cheque before getting back to me and not coming to a resolution and Karen - the WIFE OF THE OWNER /OWNER - claimed that it wasn't her dept.
Currently have been in touch with the College of Trades, and consumer protection Ontario and investigations to follow.
After reviewing the paperwork it indicated that you initialed approval for the work to be performed and signed to indicate satisfaction with the work performed. In our conversation you noted that we arrived quicker than anyone else would have and that you were satisfied with the service. I regret that you have now decided to pursue this further. Hopefully we will all bring resolution to this situation.
