leaky windows and doors - AFTER replacement! STAY AWAY!
Our windows and doors were installed by Ecotech about 2 years ago. Following installation, we noticed drafts from most of our windows and all our doors and ice formation in the winter. Ecotech returned to add insulation during a follow up visit, however the problem persisted. We continued to have drafts and ice forming around our doors and windows. We continued to complain, and Ecotech promised to investigate. The staff sent to investigate diagnosed that the windows were installed INCORRECTLY and thus allowed air leakage into my home. He provided his investigation notes to the company and they committed to re-installing my windows and doors correctly this spring 2019. They would make appointments to come, then cancel. We later found out that they have let go of their staff who committed to fixing our problem. Today someone came (over an hour late) and blamed the mouldy windows on excess moisture in my house (it is raining today). They will not fix the problem that has resulted in an extremely energy INEFFICIENT home, ice formation on my windows and doors, and mould. Their staff do not respect your time, keep appointments, or take responsibility for incorrect installation. I'm happy to discuss further, but I would NOT recommend this company and want to help others avoid the headaches I have had to endure for 2 years!
** Update** Ecotech continues to shirk their responsibility for IMPROPER INSTALLATION - they sent us a link on how condensation forms in a home. HOW ABOUT FIX THE DRAFT COMING THROUGH MY WINDOWS AND DOORS SO THAT COLD AIR DOESN'T ENTER MY HOME!!!
That is how you fix condensation. Do not spend your hard earned money on these incompetent fools.

Please note that any interior moisture issues including condensation and even frost are related to humidity inside the home, and it is standard protocol to do a hygrometer test inside the home to make an accurate assessment. Your test showed 65% humidity which is well over the recommended 40% or lower. Once you address this issue a proper assessment can be made to find any other root problems.
