Total renovation of kitchen and total renovation of two bathrooms

I must say I would highly recommend Sam and his crew. He listened very carefully to what we wanted and he internalized it so completely that at about halfway through the project I had to be hospitalized for a couple of days. I told him that if he needed a decision during that time to just go ahead and make the decision. Sam knew what I liked and what we required as part of the project and to just go ahead and make that decision, I would approve it. He’s scrupulously honest as are his workers Emerson and Carl. The “lads” are tidy and considerate gentle men. I genuinely mean that they are gentlemen as well as gentle men. The entire crew Sam included, made it very clear that they wanted to fulfil our every hope for this very large renovation in a condominium. Two particular items of note. The first and most important, we were renovating and retrofitting our condo for someone with disabilities and this was a very large part of the renovation vision. Sam, Carl and Emerson did everything they could to fulfil our hopes and dreams for our renovation. They would often go above and beyond, for instance in the bathrooms Sam would have the cement board backed with wood, not just blocked here and there. This means that if we find we need another grab bar somewhere we can install it with confidence that it will hold. This is very important for someone with this disabilities. I was very touched by how they thought through the entire project to give us the most value for our dollars. The second thing to note is that Sam was very well liked by the condominium management. They efficiently and on schedule delivered materials and removed debris without fuss. Sam worked with management so that there was minimal downtime to the rest of the residence caused by an elevator being reserved on service for deliveries and removals. The halls were protected so that there was no damage to the common elements as a result of our project. This was a great comfort to us. The final note worth making is that Sam quotes his project a little bit differently from most other contractors. Because of the way he has created his brochure catalogue he is able to group rooms together and costi them out, ask for his little catalog, he knows what each room will cost so you will not get a detailed quotation stating for example: 25 feet of baseboard 350 yards of electrical conduit and 95 ft.² of tile.; 30 ft.² of carpet plus under pad etc. etc.
Instead Sam will cost out your vision, It will probably only run to one page and will list all the things that are important to you. For example for our project The quote stated convert main bathroom to spa shower with Carara marble style tiles, grab bars, comfort height toilets. Convert master bathroom to include 72 inch Whirlpool tub, comfort height toilet’s, tile floors and a make up area with mirrors and accent lighting. You get the idea. Then at the bottom of the page was the price. It was the price I gave him so we agreed on that once I realize that the quotation stated he guaranteed to do the project for the amount quoted. Sam never pushed to have us increase the project budget neither did he encourage or suggest items that were not in the quotation. Such items would of course be extra to the quotation. We did, in the end add on a few extra projects but it was the result of my initiation of the topic and a thorough discussion with Sam. Some of these suggestions of mine were acted upon some we decided we’re not necessary. I was extremely touched by his sensitivity to my desire to convert a bookcase into a library wall. The bookcase was nothing particularly special, but it was one of the last things my dad had made.so it was precious to me. The wall turned out beautifully.
Every other contractor I contacted asked for what we had in mind, asked for what our budget was - which was a healthy budget and then asked if we could increase it by at least 20%.; Every single one of the Renomark listed contractors I contacted except for RenoWOW. If I had wanted to spend that much money I would’ve given them that number to begin with!
The whole project experience with RenoWOW was as pleasant as one could hope for and with as few surprises as one could hope for as well. We were truly wowed result .

WOW! Thank you for a very accurately detailed review. I'm delighted to know that we exceeded your expectations. While we do our best to prepare our clients doing "whole home" renovations -- for what's naturally going to be a disruptive and difficult periods, yet remarkably this one went off without any glitches. I thank you folks for making the working conditions conducive to getting the big mess out of way real fast. The results speak for themselves. We are humbled by your comments and remain at your service. Wishing you God Speed recovery and great health.

Condo bathroom reno

First I think Sam is a very good sales man, that said he this is a follow up review. He put in the wrong shower rod one he wanted to put in not the one I wanted I had to text him a few times before he replied. When Sam came to my condo I had a list of things 10 that needed to be fixed. I have attached some pictures, the inside of the door was very bumpy sam said most people don't want to pay to sand the door. all that needed to be done was wipe off the debris from cutting tiles I sanded the door and repainted it. Tile around toilet not cut right I filled it in with caulking. Also the 3rd pic shows caulking dropped on door frame not wiped off before it dried oh well no biggie said him I sanded it off and repainted. Scratch on tub he could get some one to buff it out but it may be more trouble? the only thing he said he'd fix pic. 1 as he left he said I'll call in the new year to fix this march 26th still no call , I'll bet if I'd taken his hints about getting my kitchen done I'd of heard from him. lastly the accent tiles were put in wrong when they were taken out most were broken I gave them 3 more to put in . I told sam I couldn't find the reseat for them as they cost me $7. each so about $24. he thought it funny as he thinks he saved me so much money. Really I paid him almost $13,000. and my son and I did all the demo we didn't take out the tub. I bought all the tiles for floor and around the tub plus the shower faucet and safety rails and the grout . So was I wowed yes that he didn't stand behind his work crooked paint lines to lazy to wipe door before painting it.

We renovated a huge master bathroom from an early eighties design to a modern spa-like oasis.

From our first meeting, Sam was extremely professional, polite, on-time and he and his team treated our home with velvet gloves. I was not sure what I wanted done except that I wanted it totally demolished and redone within a certain budget and timeline which Sam respected both. I wasn't sure about what would go well together so I trusted Sam with the colour scheme, choice of fixtures, everything and it all turned out very. very beautiful. He took time to explain his timeline, how he wanted to get things done and listened to our concerns. He always made sure we were totally comfortable with anything he was thinking of doing.. I am absolutely in love with my new bathroom. Sam is the real deal and would recommend him to anyone.

Changing of all doors and all baseboards in my condo

I am very happy with the work Sam and his crew did. They finished on time and did what they promised in addition to some small repeats that were out of the scope of work but Sam promised and he delivered. He was very honest about pricing and was available for negotiation.

Kitchen Renovation

Sam was very nice. The Counter Top installed had some sort of chemical reaction and stained on one part. Sam responded quickly to our concerns and made an appointment for the vendor to visit our home to look at the problem and help find a solution. Unfortunately a solution could not be found and nothing further than having the entire counter replaced would remedy this. Either way Sam's response was appreciated. We also expressed concerns regarding the sink staining and scratching rather quickly after use. Sam again responded to our concerns quickly and informed us that any stainless steel sink would have wear and tear from cutlery etc. hitting the sink. Later when we moved our fridge there was a huge chunk of grout on the ground that was just left there. Overall Sam's quick response to our concerns and humble response to our review has shown us a greater customer service then expected. We believe that Sam will diligently work to always achieve for better and to do better each time.

Learning you are dissatisfied with our products/services is troubling. It is my understanding that the counter top vendor has been unable to confirm an appointment with you. Apparently many attempts/calls/messages have been left without avail. One of the benefits of using Quartz is that the material is very hard and the surface is resistant to everyday stains, heat scars and other scratches, etc. When you contacted me about your concern that the top was not sparkling -- shining (your words) like a mirror, I immediately notified the vendor and requested an ASAP (technician) site visit to look at it and provide the necessary remedy . Regarding your high style, deep bowl under mounted sink.... all I can reiterate is that "highly polished" stainless steel sinks will lose it's factory lustre almost immediately after initial use (((: Plus all of these products are susceptible to fine scratches/abrashion from every day use of cutlery, etc. I'm sorry for not following up to ensure that service was completed to your satisfaction. I do not expect our clients to have to tidy/clean up behind us. The poor/low review you have posted will serve a lesson and it will smart for sure. To this end, I will continue to improve on my follow-up tasks to ensure good clients like you can depend on us.

I wish you continued enjoyment of your new kitchen. Perhaps by providing this detailed explanation you may find a way to reconsider your review???

Kitchen update and two complete bathroom renovations

Sam and his team, Carl, Emerson and Elmo redesigned, deconstructed, and renovated our guest bath, ensuite, and kitchen.
Sam provided great design and guidance throughout the process and listened to our input so the final results were exactly as we had hoped. Carl and Emerson worked hard to ensure the quality and installations were excellent. Elmo did all the electrical and lighting and did a masterful job.
It was a big job involving three main floor rooms while we occupied the home. They were always concientious and most anxious to make sure we were 100% happy with the results.
We are thrilled with the final results, and we hope to work with Sam, Carl, Emerson and Elmo again when we do our basement reno.
