We recently moved into a new home and realized that the half wall around the basement stairs closed in the dining area and detracted from the open concept design of the living area. We contacted Dustin from Dimension Carpentry to give us an estimate on removing the wall, stair carpet, installing new railing and capping the stair treads with hardwood.
We ran into some difficulties with timing...the wall needed to be removed before the main floor hardwood could be laid. But Dustin had a solution; he removed the wall and installed a temporary railing, then when the floors were all finished came back and installed the railing (to our specifications) and the stair treads... the finished product looks amazing.
We found Dustin to be very professional, worked with a lot of attention to detail and within our budget. We would not hesitate to recommend Dustin from Dimension Carpentry to anyone! He is a true artisan.
