main bathroom

Very disappointed with this company, way overpriced for work done, and work was subpar,eg,grout work poor, had 2 hours of clean up after they left.Toilet was loose, rocking back and forth, they dumped all their dirty water with mud all over the front lawn so when snow melted I had a big mes to clean up.The work was all done by someone else not Dan himself. He would not even sit down with me,had no time, even when I gave him final check he didn't even shake my hand, took money and ran.He did not want to listen, just did what he wanted.I bought 2 brand new pales of grout that I wanted to use,170.00 a pale, bur instead he used some grout left over from another job he did and kept my pales,di not give them back to me.The price was way too much for work done, but will never use him again, and will never recommend him to anyone else. Was just plain rude, please beware of this contractor,4700.00 what a joke.

Basement

They were very friendly however, I have now discovered that they used sub par materials and didn't finish the job well. They took shortcuts and rushed the job. Not recommended.

Bathroom Renovation

The renovation cost was way over budget and the length of time it took to complete was excessive. Workmanship was pretty good, they were pleasant and he had good ideas. He was a good problem solver.

Deck and Garage Renovations

After shopping around and getting a few quotes for the work to be done, we chose Dan Carson of Wild Rose Contracting to carry out the work we wanted done to our newer Montorio built home. (We had also looked to our builder, Montorio Homes, but their labor costs were a little too high for our project.)

Dan came on the recommendation of a family friend who used to be employed in the construction industry, who respected his work and character.

Dan came by and did the quotes and explained how certain aspects of the job (such as the electrical work) would be sub-contracted to associates that he typically works with.

We were OK with the terms, and Dan and his crew got to work building us a large composite deck, and install man-door and pull-through on our triple garage, as well as additional electrical outlets / lighting in the garage, and for the newly installed roof covering a portion of the new deck.

Work on our place occurred as schedule on other projects permitted (we knew this ahead of time) and was spread out over a 8 - 10 week period. There were a couple of minor delays that were not expected (one related to waiting for electrical inspection to happen before garage work could be completed) but nothing too significant.

The prices were reasonable and the work done was very good quality. The guys were quick to offer suggestions on how they thought the project could be improved upon, such as "picture framing" the deck boards for a more finished look, or contributing ideas for the deck skirting or color choices on the aluminum railings.

Dan also made a suggestion for someone to do work on our A/C install, and after comparison shopping, we chose his recommendation for HVAC contractor, and are very pleased with his work too.

In the end, the project took a tad longer than anticipated, but the results were well worth it. We have had it complete since last May and there has been no movement or issues with any of the construction quality. We love the finished product and look forward to enjoying it again this year. We are located on a walking trail, and I frequently hear comments from passers by about "what a nice deck that is"

The garage with the extra doors and wiring is now prepped for the work that I need to do to complete the "man cave", and is well lit to work on any projects within it.

Wild Rose Contracting was easy to work with, and we will consider them again for future construction needs, such as completing our basement development. It was also nice to get the best quotes and service from a local company that looks after their customers and cares about the work they do.
