We agreed to have Grasshopper install Solar Panels on our roof as part of the MicroFIT program through the government of Ontario. At the time of the agreement to participate in the program in October, we knew we needed a new roof; the sales agent, Matt, told that we would get free evaluation of the roof BEFORE the panels were to be installed. He even told us that if we needed to get the roof completed and the panels were in that Grasshopper would remove them for free. Well, winter came and no work could be done, but as soon as the weather broke Grasshopper came and installed the panels with no evaluation of the roof. We told them that we needed to replace our shingles and gave us the run around about it having the contract with the IESO in place and then FORCED us to use their roofers to complete the shingle work. The roofers did an ok job but NOT provide us with a drip edge.
Long story short, this company is NOT easy to deal, nor do I feel that they are upfront and honest about what they provide... Beware before you work with them.
