Several years back we hired Marc through the suggestion of the sellers Realtor. We wanted someone but according to them he was unavailable.
He spent a relatively short time in our house...and gave us our report via email.
On the day of closing we came to our new house and he was in the front yard kissing the previous owner!! I was not impressed.. But felt I just had to continue on with the move.
We have since had many problems in our home that have come up that we should have been made aware of at the time. There is insulation issues. And cracks in our walls and ceiling that he said were purely cosmetic. The electrical is aluminum which we were not made clear on.
The cracks in the concrete around the pool and shed he said was just regular settlement cracks.
When were were trying to sell these all were coming up as concerns. So I looked for my home inspection report and realized it was on the computer that had a virus and everything had to be removed. I never thought of it then...
I called him in which it took weeks to get a response. I also had to try going my Realtor. I asked for a copy of my inspection ( I would pay for that copy if need be) and I explained some of the concerns we were having. He didn't get back to us for weeks..then when he did he said he lost the file. But if he remembers correctly its the one that had asbestos in the attic. As he had a picture of him holding it attached to my address. That was news to me as he never told us about asbestos. I am very concerned about the many others things he may have been misinformed about.
He should have clearly known what the problems were. I would never ever hire him..so now we have to get professionals in here and pay them to fix problems we would otherwise not have been involved in.
