True North Underpinning

After replacing my century-old staircase with a much safer longer staircase but with less headroom. As a result, a load bearing joist was replaced by an I-beam in the basement in order to increase headroom. Daniel and his great crew from True North Underpinning did a great job, cleaned workspace and maintained constant, effective communication during the project.

True North Underpinning was amazing to work with!! These guys are on time, in budget, and so great at what they do. Daniel (owner) was so kind and easy to work with. He just feels trustworthy and reliable from the moment you meet him. The team was clean and tidy every day, worked quickly and did an incredible job ! Would recommend to anyone. They go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy !!

True North just completed underpinning on our 1920's home and they did an excellent job. The service was professional, quick, and of great quality. The crew was responsive to any questions and they worked extremely efficiently. Dan and Josh were excellent on the management side of things, and answered all of my annoying questions. The cost was very competitive compared to other quotes I received.

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to use True North Underpinning to lower and extend our basement. We hired Daniel and his team to underpin our semi detached home in North Toronto and it was the best decision we made for our basement renovation. Throughout the whole process Daniel was transparent, friendly and very professional. The project manager Josh and the entire crew were extremely reliable and great at what they did. Even in the hottest summer days, they showed up, worked hard and did it all with a positive attitude. The project was done on time, on budget and exceeded our expectations!

True North Underpinning are phenomenal. Their quality of work and knowledge of this specialized field is the best in the city without question. In addition to their skillset the whole team is very friendly and professional - from the owner Daniel, who is always available, right down to the on-site team we had of Josh, Aubrey and Keith who were available to answer any questions we had and kept a tidy and well organized worksite. They were on schedule and hardly impacted our lives as we lived and worked from home during the underpinning process. Our project was roughly 750sqft and we finished our basement with underfloor heating and concrete floor which we are having polished this month. When our project was complete we were truly sad to say bye to the team they were so lovely!
