We received 3 quotes for a total revamp of 2 bedrooms into a new master suite. Murray's came in in the middle. We hired him for his willingness
to listen to all our wants, ideas, and concerns.
The job turned into quite the lesson in "what could go wrong will go wrong", none of which was the fault of Thor. Our house had some strange things going on.
Loved the way Murray was up front with all the challenges the house could throw at us.
Murray's craftsmanship is impeccable, as well as his attention to detail and willingness to do things a little different then whats he is use to. All the while not inflating his quote and also working around us and the dogs living in the house.
Overall we had a great experience with our first reno.
We have already gave out his number to family, and talking to him about our next project.

I have used Thor Development for a number of renovation project I have done on my 1912 house. Thor development help me bring the house up to date as it hadn't been touch since it was build. Thor development did a full basement renovation which included taking the wall back to the studs. I had the house re-sided and it is featured on Highland Park real estate sites.Recently I have some issues with the roof and the basement foundation.. I hired Thor development , they came in and assessed the damage. They completed the necessary repairs in under a week and under the estimated cost. Murray work was superb, his attention to detail and craftmanship is excellent. I would highly recommend Murray and his company for any Renovation Jobs. He was initially recommended to us by friends who had undertaking major renos in their home that were very impressive. Beautiful work. He has since done multiple projects for us over the past 5 years -- ranging in $$ from 1500.00 to 7000.00. He is meticulous in his work and has a great eye for detail. His updates have included updating fixtures, installing new lighting, door/hardware, inside/outside painting, flooring, and updating our front porch exterior. He is thoughtful in his approach - discussing ideas and options - practical and trustworthy. His work blends seamlessly with our existing home so that the updates appear to have always been part of the house. Only better. Much better. We have had Murray from Thor Developments work with us on 3 different projects (over several years). The first job was to level out our concrete floor, install hardwood, tile and carpet, and update a half bath. Our second renovation was a complete kitchen renovation! This included a redesign of the footprint, custom cabinets, tile backsplash, granite counters, redoing the ceiling, recessed lighting, under cabinet lighting, lighting in the some of the cabinets. The final (for now) renovation included the main bath and the ensuite. The main bath was a complete facelift (flooring, tile, cabinets). The ensuite was a complete demolition (removing walls), levelling the floor, creating a new foot print, cabinets, marble tile, heated floor, custom shower, marble counters, etc. We firmly believe that Murray is the best in the business! He is thoughtful with design, professional with consultations, precise with installations, and mindful with colours. Murray is truly amazing! We completely trust his decisions and always know that he is doing the best job humanly possible. He listens carefully, getting to know his clients and offers suggestions based on what he hears, as well as matching our choices to our budget. Murray has worked on every floor of our home and we are completely thrilled with the results. We would 100% recommend his services, and we have to friends and family. Murray from Thor Developments was a great resource when I wanted a rebuild of the sagging old deck that had come with the house. He was professional, courteous and good at what he did. The deck was complete in no time. Nice, solid, well built. It's a nice big one and we're looking forward to having the family out on it in the summertime.

We're considering his expertise with a bathroom upgrade we're doing upstairs later this year.
