Backyard Deck and Planter Boxes

This was the 2nd house renovation/improvement we've hired Mr Reno for and very happy with the finsihed product. We needed a large deck custom built in a small yard with planters boxes joining the rear parking pad and existing upper deck into the house. Andrew and his crew did a great job with this project and added some nice finishing touches on the planter boxes, he's always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we're happy and with all the compliments we get, we certainly are!.

Kitchen Reno

We hired Andrew to do a wall removal, beam installation, new kitchen and floors on our main floor. Andrew is a really honest and nice guy, and really instilled a sense of confidence in the project for us. One thing Andrew could improve on is his time estimates. Though some factors added to the delay of the project that were outside of his control, other times things would be done later than promised. There were a few details that we had to follow up with Andrew on a few times to get fixed, but in the end, he did got them all done. He was also really great at finding sub contractors, such as plumbers and countertop supplier, who could do the job well and at an affordable cost. Andrew's rates were also very reasonable given the scope of the project. Overall, we were really happy with the end result.

Bathroom Shower Leak

We used Andrew, owner of Mr. Reno, for a slow leak in our bathroom. No one else could figure out what it was and we were at our wits end. A good friend recommended him as doing an excellent job on his house (huge reno). Andrew is so personable and nice, and gets the job done for nearly half the price as the competition quoted. We had several plumbers in to quote and just had so many bad experiences. It's really, really hard to find someone as good as Andrew. Also, he knows all the best people in the industry so if he doesn't have time for your job he will refer you to someone just as good. I am very picky and would pay more if I thought the job was better, but you don't need to because he does an excellent job. Wholly recommend.

Basement renovation

Highly not recommended. Many issues during the project and after the project.

One month late for promised two months.

Promised "2 years warranty for any issue" after the last payment. Next month the ceiling cracked, already waiting two months to fix.

Had to ask to redo doors several times. First installed sliding doors when discussed regular doors, then installed with wrong hinges, then installed with wrong handles. Had to give up since it was already one month behind.

Floor was not done even (promised during initial quote), then tried to fix on top, laminate is making noise across whole basement, promised to come back if it will continue to be an issue. Already waiting two months.

Doors are done too low - do not open when we put rugs!

Painting was not done properly in places where lighting not bright and not seen right away.

Pot lights were NOT done properly (glued with white silicone). When I had to change the bulbs, had to cut the silicone off. Not likely pot lights were meant to be glued to the ceiling.

Beware!

Tile / Kitchen Renovation

Hired Mr. Reno to re-tile the front entrance way, kitchen floor with heated mat, countertop and backsplash.

The first day Andrew showed up right on time and started ripping out tile.

There was a good amount of progress in the first few days which was exciting.

In the end they were able to get the project done under very tight timelines even when the project expanded to include a full gut of the kitchen and installation of new cabinets.

Andrew has some really good people at his disposal (especially Pedro for the granite and cabinets).

We will be sure to recommend Mr. Reno GTA to others.

Fence in backyard & some waterproofing

Mr Reno built a new wood fence in our backyard as well as some waterproofing for us this summer. They were very professional and even helped us resolve/mitigate a dispute with regards to our fence with our neighbours. Pricing was very reasonable. Thank you Mr Reno! We are enjoying summer in our new private backyard!

Kitchen/bathroom/main floor

100% happy with the renovation provided by Mr Reno. Kitchen, counters, and newly installed sliding back door are fantastic and the new highlights of our home. Excellent drywall work throughout and pot light installation. Gorgeous bathroom completed utilizing the space to the max. Overall the quality of the renovation is top notch, and Mr Reno worked with our requests/designs and provided excellent additional ideas/designs/consulting to make it even better than we anticipated. Mr Reno also provided us with material sources (counters/floors) where we were able to pick out exactly what we wanted at fair prices. "Excellent taste" has been frequently used by our friends to describe the net result. Highly recommended.

Deck and Garden

We had a great experience with Mr Reno. We had them re-do a fence and make gardening container boxes to create the perfect gardening oasis on our upper deck. Andrew and his team were professional, on time and the job was very well done. I also greatly appreciated their communication and that when they said they would be there and/or do something, they did! I have and will continue to recommend Mr Reno to neighbours and friends and use them in the future with any projects we have.
