When we decided to renovate our bathroom, Lindsay Contracting was recommended to us by a friend. From the initial phone call Damien was the consummate professional. When we contacted his references, they all said that you can't go wrong with Damian and to book before he becomes too busy. Damien answered all of our questions/concerns with ease and in a manner that we understood, even when we asked the question again later!
Nothing was left to chance with respect to his contract. Every detail and cost was listed and knowing that we had a fixed budget, Damien was able to reduce our costs if we were willing to invest some sweat equity (painting, insulating).
His crew was outstanding and treated our house like it was theirs. Everything was protected and the worksite was cleaned up extensively every day. Dust was kept to a minimum as much as possible.
A big shout out to Martin as he always provided a smile and laughter and tips of the trade each day.
Even when our project was put on hold due to our family catching Covid (not due to Damien), he was able to reset the schedule once we had cleared quarantine.
Even 6 months after the renovation was completed, Damien checks in to make sure there are no issues.

Needed to replace old dishwasher and change kitchen sink faucet. Damian promptly arranged for the installation to be completed and left us very satisfied with the work done. Thank you Damian for a great job done.

Needed some work done throughout my basement which entailed patching holes from electrical work that was completed previously, painting and some trim work. I had a leak start coming through the ceiling underneath a bathroom I have scheduled to be renovated by Lindsey Contracting. Damian was a life saver and came immediately to see what was causing the leak and that it could be stopped and added fixing my now damaged ceiling as part of the future work plan with the bathroom renovation. At the same time he was able to arrange to have a toilet installed for me in another bathroom that desperately needed to be replaced. He was responsive and comforting in my panic and helped me out in a bind. Both with the leak and the toilet! After this experience I am even more confident I made the right choice for my bathroom renovation and am excited for the work to be done and continuing to get to get to work with Damian.

The team at Lindsay Contracting was fantastic. The bathroom reno was a transformation - we had them expand the size by removing a closet in a bedroom and gutting and reconfiguring the space to go from an old tight 1950's bathroom to a modern functional space. The reno started in December 2021 and Covid resulted in a few delays. During those delays Damian kept us informed, in fact the communication and updates throughout the renovation were frequent. I absolutely loved that throughout the renovation, any question I had was answered and both Martin and Damian were happy to answer the "why" as well so I was learning things along the way. They kept things as clean as possible and worked around us as we were underfoot working from home during much of the renovation.
The bathroom is now one of the best parts of this house and if I have any complaints it's that I now take really long showers.

Damian (at Lindsay Contracting) helped us every step of the way through a complete bathroom renovation. We repositioned the tub, added a sauna, replaced all the tiling, added an electric mirror and toilet, and had a skylight repaired. The room was first gutted all the way to the house frame, and rebuilt from scratch. Damian used specialized tradesmen for each portion (electrical, plumbing, tiling, etc), and all went perfectly smoothly. Damian picked up items from stores for us, and made sure the rest of the house was kept clean. The project was done on time and on budget, and we're thrilled with the result. Couldn't have made a better choice.

This is our second major renovation with Lindsay Contracting as they renovated our house in 2012. This one was a commercial renovation which commenced in March 2022 and completed in Sept 2022. They transformed a new build industrial shell into a workshop and showroom for our antique lighting company. Damian and his crew did an incredible job with the renovation which included the installation of a new accessible washroom, HVAC, custom electrical, plumbing, painting drywall and polished concrete floors. City inspections always passed with flying colours and the quality and craftsmanship of the work lead to no deficiencies at the end of the project. We trusted Damian with our home and our business and Lindsay Contracting delivered on both. Highly recommend as this is the best firm out there.

We bought an older house that needed a lot of work before we could move in. We had a limited budget to work with and wanted the work done right. The scope of work included: interior demolition, taking down a wall, asbestos removal, HVAC modifications, installing lighting, re-plumbing the kitchen and bathroom, re-wiring the kitchen, refinishing the floors and installing drywall and insulation.

We found Damian on HomeStars. He responded very quickly to our inquiry and scheduled a site visit within a few days. He came to our house, took pictures, asked questions, and had great suggestions for how we could proceed. He produced a very fair quote quickly and was able to start work on the project almost right away.

We could tell Damian was different from other contractors because of how regularly and clearly he communicates. There were never any surprises with Damian. We spoke with him almost daily. He regularly provided updates on progress by phone and text - calling to check in with us whenever a decision needed to be made. He provided solid advice whenever we were uncertain, but always respected our wishes and budget constraints. His knowledge, organization, and attention to detail are all top notch.

Damian's quality of work also speaks for itself. Throughout the process, he told us he would treat the house as his own and it showed. Down to the smallest details of where to route ducting, the size of the shower niche, where to place light-switches, or making ancient floor and walls plumb and square, Damian's workmanship is unparalleled. He notices the little things that you might not think of but which make a well crafted home just right. Our upstairs floors had quite a bit of damage and he and his team were truly miracle workers in bringing them back to life. A duct that needed to be routed through our living room blends in seamlessly. Our very old house has been made straight and true thanks to Damian's hard work. In short, we couldn't be happier with the result. All of Damian's trades were professional, hard working, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. They are all masters of their crafts.

Damian completed work on time and on budget. He and his crew worked nights and weekends to get our house turned over to us as soon as possible. His prices were very reasonable. He also knew that our budget was firm and worked within those parameters to deliver top quality work that we could afford.
