Pest Solution Services Bed Bugs Specialist

Unfortunately, I brought bed bugs from a public space, and I got bites badly. Recommended by a friend, I found PSS which is specialized at bed bug problems to help me. The worker is really responsible and reliable, and his service worth the price.

This is my second review of Pest Solution Services. In February of 2014 Muhammad treated our home after a major bed bug infestation. It was an extremely stressful experience for our family, especially with 3 year old and newborn baby. Muhammad was absolutely amazing during that time. After the bugs were gone for good, we said goodbye and as much as we liked Muhammad we hoped we'd never have to use his services again.

Fast forward 18 months later, to earlier this month,when we found a single adult bed bug crawling across our bed. The memories of the experience came flashing back. The first thing we did after packing up the bedding was call Muhammad. He answered and assured us he would come over that day. He kept his word and as always, thoroughly inspected our bedroom. Luckily no other signs were found. He gave us instructions for how to manage our bed (ex. washing the slats), set up the monitors and calmed our fears. We feel very fortunate that 1) there was only one bug (where he came from we don't know!), 2) we caught him and 3) that we had a bed bug expert who would once again come through for us.

I would like to share with the public my experience with Pest Solution Services (Bed bug 101) so others on this site can benefit. A month ago, I was waking up feeling very itchy skin/body with pimple like lesions. I was so paranoid that I may have bed bug; I started searching the web for a good pest control services and I came across "PSS - Bed Bug 101". The moment I emailed Muhammed, I got a response right away saying he is ready to come in for an inspection. After his inspection, to my luck he confirmed that I had no bed bugs and I paid his share. Muhammed's approach was extremely professional! Since I live in a condo ; I asked him to be discreet and he followed that as well.
I just wanted to say that every single positive comments on this site is very much true. I would not hesitate a second to call him if his service is needed. He also inspected my mom's room, and found nothing there as well.
The other thing is - my itch/marks did not stop after he left saying that I had no bed bugs. The itch continued and I continued being paranoid. I would text him freaking out, he would ALWAYS return my text and assured me again and again that I had no bed bugs. Once I caught a bug and sent it to him via text - he was able to identify the bug for me which was not a bed bug. He stood by me PATIENTLY until ALL my doubts were cleared.
He is a very honest man, and true to his words (if he says he will be there - he will). He is reliable and he was also able to calm down my anxiety. The company's ethics of no evidence of bed bug, no treatment is 100% true. He is the one to call if you ever have a bed bug problem or need a inspection. After looking for a good Bed Bug treatment company, one of my friends suggested to try (Bed Bug 101 ) Mohammad Arkam. Wow what can I say he was the most expensive of all other companies. but after interviewing other professionals in the industry. I was convinced that I had to go with Bed Bug 101, and I tell you what a pleasant surprise Mohammad is a true Professional, as he says, he can talk to Bed Bugs. He knows where to find them, and rid of them on the spot. my opinion is that he is the best there is in the business. I strongly recommend him any time. he was on time every time and did not stop until the Bugs where gone, room by room.

After unfortunately bringing home some friends (read: bed bugs) from vacation we hired PSS to come and check everything out. He came promptly and inspected every room. Luckily, we found 1 room with evidence and another room with likely evidence. We choose to treat both rooms a few days later. We've had nothing since. Mo came back to reinspect as well and so far so good! He provided great education throughout and hopefully we never bring the bed bugs back with us again. We also like that he uses the IPM approach with more physical means to kills them and keep them out rather than chemical options.

About three months ago I started noticing a few bites on me. At first I didn’t think much of them but then I noticed a few more. I immediately went online to do some research and pretty much freaked myself out.

I asked my husband if he was getting bitten but he didn’t show any signs. Then, some days later a bite or two turned up on my husband and now it wasn’t something that was in ‘my head’.

We tried to look for signs of bed bugs but knowing little about what they looked like, we couldn’t find anything.

Each day I’d wake up and inspect my body and would find a new bite. It was an incredibly stressful and upsetting time. Though it was only about a week or two in my life, it felt like an eternity of sleepless nights…wondering if something was coming after me at night. I felt like I was losing my mind, over-reacting to anything and everything that resembled a possible itch. It was awful.

My husband learned that if you did have a bed bug issue, that you shouldn’t try to tackle the problem on your own. You would need professional help. Being stubborn (and cheap), I went to Home Depot and spent some money on some useless sticky traps and got zero results.

The bites continued so we knew we had to call in help. We weren’t sure which method we’d use. There was the obvious concern about inhaling toxic pesticide sprays and then we learned about the heating method but that made us nervous. We couldn’t imagine heating up our whole house without setting something on fire and/or damaging something.

I called around and after reading some reviews on HomeStars, decided to give Muhammad a try and we’re so glad we did!

Muhammad was quick to return our phone call. He got back to us that very same afternoon and then we were able to immediately book an inspection for the next day. When he arrived, he started by asking questions and asked to see our bites. He reminded me of a doctor, assessing the bites. I suppose he could’ve confirmed our suspicion right away just by looking at our bites but Muhammad wanted evidence. So he set out with his tools, and did sort of a ‘CSI inspection’ on our old wooden futon frame.

With Q-tips and droplets in hand he scoured the wooden futon frame. At first nothing turned up and then I told him that I had just wiped it down with soapy water the night before (I didn’t know not to do that). With that in mind, he kept searching and found one wee-little black spot and smeared over it with his Q-tip. Then he explained that that was the evidence he needed…that the black spot suggested that there was a female bed bug.

It was reassuring to know that Muhammad knew his stuff but equally disappointing since he confirmed what we had feared, that we did in fact have a case of bed bugs.

But he put our mind to ease and said that we were lucky that we called him early because our case was minor and was contained in just our bedroom. (He checked our other living spaces and nothing turned up).

After his inspection, he gave us the low-down. He explained that the little blood suckers liked to hide in the cracks and crevices of the futon frame. He said that to clean it would cost us way more than replacing it. So we wrapped it up right away and threw it out. That was part of the prep work he required of us before he came back the next day, to start the treatment.

I have to say, I was impressed with how detail-oriented and thorough Muhammad was. He pretty much steamed and cleaned everything in our bedroom. His practice is not just about pest control but he works hard to educate his clients and put them at ease (he suggested that I stay off the internet so that I wouldn’t become paranoid). He’s a realist. The bottom line is that bed bugs are here and they’ve been here for a very long time. We might not be able to eliminate / extinguish them but what we can do is ‘manage’ the situation.

And Muhammad is really good at helping to ‘manage’ that. He has an arsenal of stuff. He sold us some mattress protectors, bed bug moats and monitors.

It’s now been about three months since our nightmarish bed bug episode. I waited this long to write the review because I was afraid I’d write a raving review and then they’d come back. But I’m happy to report that we haven’t had any unusual bites now for months. Yay!!!

I’m glad we went to HomeStars and glad that we found Muhammad. He is a bit pricey but the truth is, I don’t know how much the other companies would’ve charged and whether we would’ve had the same results. I’m pleased with his work. He takes his company and work seriously and cares about customer satisfaction. I appreciated that Muhammad gave us options, i.e. he could’ve made way more money cleaning our futon frame vs. suggesting we get rid of it.

During that stressful time, we never did see a bed bug. We still haven’t seen one (thank goodness, and pray there are none around). A conman looking to make more money could’ve taken us for a ride and told us that we needed to have our whole house treated. Muhammad was honest. After finding evidence in only our bedroom, he quoted us for the work he’d need to do in just the bedroom.

If you ever suspect you might have a case of bed bugs, Muhammad is your first call. You’ll want him on your team for sure!

I started getting some odd bites and at first I thought they were just flea bites but after a few days this did not seem right and with some research into various bites to compare what I had been experiencing, bed bugs most closely resembled what I had. After this a nervous check of my wooden bed frame yielded one bed bug.

Upon finding this I did a quick look through all the most popular and highest rated exterminators on HomeStars. Muhammad was by far the most impressive sounding and I liked that other reviewers had mentioned many times that he was an honest operator and as a bonus he seemed to genuinely care about easing any fears that people had.

That very night I called him at what must have been 10:30PM and he picked up right away and agreed to come the next day to consult. He asked me a few questions regarding what I had experienced and gave me some tips to help in the meantime. I had taken a photo of what I had found and emailed it to him after the call. He responded immediately with his thoughts. Given how late it was he was very accommodating and stayed on the phone with me to answer any and all questions I had. From the very first point of contact he was very patient and helped to put me at ease.

The next day he arrived on time at the scheduled hour and proceeded to look over my room until he found actual evidence of an infestation. Muhammad is very honest and will not recommend his more expensive exterminator services unless he actually finds evidence of an infestation. If there is no evidence he will provide cheaper options to monitor the situation (if it is only one male bug then there is no reason to do anything extensive). After this he quizzed me about where else I had moved in the house and carried items from my room. He was very patient and went room to room in the house checking other bedrooms and sofas where I might have been. Luckily no other evidence of an infestation was found and he recommended his services for the one bedroom only (which was all that was needed based on the actual situation and as opposed to other operators that might recommend solutions not tailored to the specific situation).

I asked a few days to prep the room for his arrival. Mohammad was very helpful giving me tips and detailed instructions. Throughout the intervening time any questions or concerns I had were answered very quickly by him either through email or phone call. It was very reassuring to know that he cared about my situation and he stressed often that throwing things out was not the answer as he would check every single item in my room that I actually wanted to keep. From books, to electronics, and personal mementos.

On the appointed day he arrived on time and commenced his work which is a combination of steam cleaning, chemicals and vacuuming depending on the items or area. Throughout the day he would keep me abreast of what he had found or not found and even took video so that I could see the actual situation. At the end of the day I got a detailed explanation of everything he had done and checked with plans to follow up in two weeks

Muhammad followed up via email afterwards to see how I was doing. During his follow up he checked all the areas of my room that were noted as trouble spots. Not once did I feel that he was rushing. He took the utmost care checking areas again and answering questions I had.

As a further testament to Muhammad's integrity and attention to detail, he even went to check my girlfriends house as she had been over and might have unwittingly taken a bed bug home with her. He explained that if this were the case and he only performed his services on my bedroom the possibility existed that my girlfriend could bring the bed bugs back to me if a reservoir had been established at her place. Luckily he found nothing but I appreciated how thorough he was.

To this day I do not know where I picked up a bed bug but it was reassuring to know I had Muhammad on my side. He made the best of a bad situation and I never felt alone. Thank you very much for your patience and integrity. I could not be happier I called you!

I would highly recommend that anyone reading this does not wait by trying to treat the problem on their own. Call Muhammad immediately before your problem spreads.

Muhammad, returned my call and set up an appointment within hours. He was very through and knowledgeable. He talked me through the process so that I knew what was happening. He did an excellent job and put my mind at rest.

Muhammad was extremely knowledgeable as he answered all of our questions regarding our infestation. His inspection was thourough, and he put us all at ease that he would be able to rid of the bed bugs. He really impressed us with his professionalism and his discretion. Our infestation was only in one room, and Muhammad took much care and time to de-infest. Two days after he finished the treatment, a family member thought they saw a bug and was getting bitten in another room. Muhammad promptly came back within 48 hours of my second call and took apart the bed in another room to ensure the bugs did not spread - and thankfully there were no signs of bugs in the other room. Muhammad's services gave us the peace of mind we needed to deal with this stressful situation and I could not speak more highly of his services.

Hi All, It started with getting random itchy bites on my body overnight… So I started freaking out and had no clue what was going on until I saw a bed bug on my sheets...
