Silver Lining Handywork

Our Kitchen renovation was left unfinished by another contractor. We had several handymen look at the unfinished work and they would promise to estimate and complete the work over a weekend. But none of them returned.
We lost hope that this work would ever get finished.

Ricardo returned as promised and he gave us an honest estimate and completed the work on time even though there were some challenges and he kept the bill close to the estimate.
He laid floor tiles in the unfinished pantry area and powder room. He picked up the kitchen back splash work from a very sad state and gave it a neat finish.
He came up with suggestions for minor improvements and accommodated all our requests.
He was always on time and he didn't mind running to the store quite a few times.

After all the amazing work, he was not even behind us for the payment which is totally unlike other contractors.

We recommend him and we will go back to him in future.

We had multiple small jobs around the house including installation of a microwave range, replacement of a door, installation of a laundry tub and faucet, and some small carpentry work. Ricardo and Ben were very professional and completed the work efficiently and on schedule. The work that they did was exactly as expected and definitely met our expectations. I am so grateful to Ricardo! He managed to fix about a years worth of home repair issues in under 5 hours. He did everything from plumbing, to electrical, to installing very tricky ceiling fans with no issues. Booking an appointment was very easy through Claudia - she managed to accommodate my schedule and Ricardo was at our home in just a couple of days. Ricardo arrived right on time, ran through the list of projects with me and was quick to get to work. After a few hours at our house, I started to remember other small jobs that he could help with and he fit them in during the same visit. He even went out on his own lunch break to get some parts that were needed for my last minute job requests. Ric was very professional, tidy, conscientious and honest about the scope of the work. I was amazed at how low my invoice was at the end of his work day. I'm already putting together a list of things we need Ric to fix in the Fall and am looking forward to working with Silver Lining Handywork again! FYI - he is capable of much more than just household repairs and we will be using him for larger home renovations in the near future.

My dishwasher was leaking. Ricardo was able to find the source of the leak. Ricardo order the piece and as soon as it came in he installed it quickly and professionally. Reliable and always on time. Highly recommend Ricardo.

This is the 3rd time I have called Silver linings and I am always amazed at what Ricardo can do. In my old house I had several repairs that others had tried to do (window's that were badly worn but we did not want to replace, etc) and Ricardo figured out a way for us to get things working again so that we could sell the house. In my new home I had him come by a couple of times, and just today he fixed a desk that was "beyond repair" but I didn't want to part with it because it was a part of a set. He re-engineered the work and it came back looking like new again. I would trust him with any job, carpentry, painting, fixing just about anything that is broken! He is always on time and on budget. There are never any surprises.

We hired Ricardo of Silver Lining on various occasions and were very happy with his work. He showed up on time as per the appointment and was very professional.
From installing a beautiful Lattice on our deck, staining , waterproofing, to changing bathroom fixtures and other household tasks. It was a pleasure doing business with this company.
All the jobs done by Ricardo were to our satisfaction. We will definitely hire him again.

Had Ricardo in a year ago and he did great work. Asked for him to come back for an estimate on plumbing and drywall work - he showed up half an hour late, said he'd get back to me that day with an estimate and never heard from him again

We were left with about a dozen small holes after removing track lighting fixtures in 2 rooms with "popcorn" ceilings. Ricardo matched the colour and texture so perfectly that no one would know the holes ever existed.

We purchased and assembled cabinets from Ikea to mount on the wall of a home office but because they were so heavy we weren't able to finish the job ourselves. Ricardo mounted the last (and highest!) cabinet for us and installed the hinges, doors and doorstops on all the cabinets (including the ones we'd mounted). Because we wanted the whole thing to look built-in, we also purchased a very narrow shelving unit to fill the gap between the side of the cabinets and the wall but it was not narrow enough to fit the space. Ricardo took it home so he could use his table saw, took it apart, narrowed every piece, put it back together and it fits perfectly. All of this work was completed in 1 day and for exactly the amount originally quoted.

I would definitely use his company again and have already recommended him to others.
