Eco Choice Windows & Doors

Just had a new garden door replaced in our kitchen by the Eco Choice crew. Great service from Alan our sales rep. Very patient and knowledgeable. Alex and the installation team were top notch, very meticulous in his work. Love the invisible retractable screens on the garden doors. Great team of people to deal with. Highly recommended.

We have only had AMAZING experiences with Gabriel and the entire staff at EcoChoice. WHAT A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. Amazing products and amazing customer service! They make you feel like you're the most important customer they have. We have done both windows and doors with them and we can't be happier! Their products are only top quality and bring such value to our home.
On a personal note, I am a real estate agent who is very picky about who I refer to my clients. Since I've had such great experiences with EcoChoice time & time again, I make it a point to refer them, and my clients are always happy that I did.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY..

We just finished dealing with this company - and only finished because we have had enough... and the company cares only about getting their money not about the customer. They installed a dented door the first time with a complete different colour of caulking from the door colour and door casing that was cut down the centre and just shoved together.. we notified the company as soon as they were complete about our dissatisfaction. They said they would come fix it.. we made two separate appointments taking days off work and had their installer have a flat tire one day, and a "mechanical" failure in his car the next. When he finally did come to fix the door - the door was not the right size, and he did not bring the right size of casing to frame the door.. so once again he would have to be back to "fix it".

Months now this has been going on: September - February we have dealt with this. They came finally with a door that has scratches on it and although not dented does not look like a new door. He brought touch up paint to fix the colour of caulking but the touch up paint was the wrong colour and doesn't match. We told him just to stop. He lost a screw from our door and WE had to go to home depot to replace it. We contacted the owner immediately. Allan (the owner of the company) consistently made us feel at fault and I have no idea how he has a company. He blamed us for not being able to fix it faster, he never came once to see our door, never tried contacting us after hours when we were available because we both work daytime shifts, he made the impression it was our fault that the door was not installed properly, and after the third time of not fixing it properly instead of saying I will come see it - or apologize at least - he said he just needs to get paid. He doesn't care if the customer is happy and just wants his money (what kind of owner does/says that?)

I will attach some photos so you can see some of the final "work" they left us with-- keep in mind this is the 3rd time here "fixing" their other work -- It is embarrassing for ecoCHOICE to have this be work and feel okay leaving it this way as long as they are paid. I am not a complainer - we were very patient - as 3 times fixing a door most people would've lost their patience- but we tried to see how it would go, accept that people make mistakes.. but enough is enough. I should mention he did give us a small credit that will barely cover us having to fix the repairs and repaint the door come summer - but we accepted it so that we could be done with this.

Simply put -- DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY if you want quality work. Pay a little more for a company that cares about their customers and that does the job right the first time. 3 times to fix something and its still not right but they insist on getting paid is not the one you want.

**As I cannot reply to the comments posted the payment was asked for and insisted on which was why we asked for a credit.. so saying it wasn't is simply untrue. The primary focus though is on the quality of work. It is below subpar and the pictures are there so you can see the final work they left us with. We had two different installers and neither were professional door installers. The installer DID ask us to go get a part that HE lost from our door handle set - which later in the day WE had to go get even though HE lost it (I have the receipt). If you are unsure about this company please contact me (rcooper@rogers.com) BEFORE you book with them.. I'll save you a lot of time, money and headaches!!

My husband and I were extremely pleased with our window retrofit from EcoChoice Windows & Doors. Gabriel was able to accommodate our busy schedule and he explained the pros and cons of retrofitting vs going with a new construction. We decided to retrofit since our window frames were in solid condition. It was really refreshing to hear from someone who wasn't pushing us to go with new construction. It ended up saving us a lot of money and we can't be more pleased with the result! We replaced 7 windows and a patio door and the house is so much more comfortable. No more drafts and we measured almost a 10 degree indoor surface temperature difference between the old and new units. Alex and Oleg did an amazing job on the install. They used high-quality finishes and completed the job on time despite having to start one day late due to un-cooperative weather. I would definitely recommend EcoChoice to friends and family. We plan to go with them again in the future when we replace our front door.

Met with Mike to go over the types of doors and glass. Received two quotes as requested. Mike answered all our questions. After everything was ordered two installers arrived as arranged. They gutted my 50 year old doors and side lite and installed the new ones. They were efficient and did a great job. After the job was completed they cleaned up the mess. Will use them for any future jobs.

Our new windows and front door look outstanding. We could not be happier. Alex the installer was extremely professional. He took time to explain everything to us and did an excellent job cleaning up. I will recommend Eco Choice WIndows and Doors to all our family and friends for their window and door needs. Thank you Eco Choice.

Simply put, a wonderful experience all around. Right from the quoting stages with Gabriel to the installation...everything went off perfectly. The quality of the windows and front door are top notch! Highly recommended!

Two new casement and side-slider windows were installed in December 2013 on my raised ranch home.
1. New windows frames were two wide for opening when old windows were removed. Wood framing had to be cut away to allow window to be installed. New windows were jammed in with no shims and very little insulation around. It took 9 hours to install the windows.
2. Ice built up inside casement windows glass during winter - window glass had been installed in reverse position in factory. Reported to ECO and it was fixed.
3. Both casement windows leaked water inside house. ECO came back to silicone seal the outside seal on fixed panel.
4. Inside soffit above basement side slider became damp and extremely cold in winter. ECO returned to reinstall insulation that had not been replaced when window was installed.
5. ECO response to the problems was extremely slow - more than six weeks in all cases.
I will never recommend this company.

Terry our sales rep explained the window and installation options available to us. Ilya and the installation crew took pride in their work and made sure all work was finished on time. My front bay window looks like a showpiece. Great service and installation.

They did exactly what they said they would do, made sure everything was finished off properly and did this for a great price.

Met Eco Choice from the Home Show, Allan was great explaining all details needed. The installers were awesome with what they did to the replacement of my front door and the sidelights, installation were very clean and tidy (did not make a mess). Only thing are the mouldings which were installed are not painted, would be nice if they informed me ahead of time. Overall, great company and products!
