We contracted MD Plumber to do a furnace maintenance and to help with a three slow drains and a smelly kitchen drain in our home. The man sent out was a furnace guy and not a plumber, therefore couldn't do the drain snaking as we originally asked for and was just given an agent to pour down the drains which worked on two of the three and did nothing to help the smell in the kitchen. The furnace maintenance was done with so far no concerns hence the 1 star given. We were told that Morley would come by that night to look at the kitchen sink which was still slow and smelly, and to give us the invoice for work done. He was a no show. 2wks passed before we heard from them and were given the excuse of them being busy etc, but that Morley would "make it a priority" to come and deal with the unfinished work. 3 more weeks passed with no word, but then a bill for $600 arrived in the mail for the furnace work and the bottles of drain cleaner that had been used. We paid to get rid of them. We had already called another company for help and the issue had needed an actual plumber and was fixed within 24hrs of calling them for a very reasonable price. I would never recommend MD Plumber to anyone after this terrible lack of professionalism.

Our hot water sprung a leak and needed to be replaced, of course when it was -26 and on a Sunday afternoon. Morley answered right away and sent someone over promptly Monday am. He also informed me that our tank may still be under warranty. He went out of his way making sure that he got the same tank so it would be replaced under the warranty and contacting the HW tank company to make sure we would be reimbursed for the tank. It's nice to find someone that looks out for the clients best interest. Ryan, the plumber who came to do the install was also extremely clean. He laid down drop mats from our front door all the way to the furnace room so nothing would get on our hardwood, tile and carpets. I wish all service guys were this clean! I also had them install new kitchen touch tap ad hoc which he did very quickly. would highly recommend this company. Don't bother phoning around, just call these folks!

Having received plumbing estimates from various contractors to put the pieces of our basement together post-flood, we couldn't be happier with our decision to work with Plumber MD. The minute I first spoke with Morley (owner) on the phone I knew I had found the right contractor. He juggled his schedule to accommodate our job as could sense our stress, always answered the phone himself whenever we called, showed up when he said he would, provided a very competitive and reasonable quote and over delivered in every aspect. His team was professional, courteous and he always showed up to check on things. I would not hesitate to recommend Morley and Plumber MD to anyone and will be keeping him in my roladex of trusted resources for any future work that might need to be done. Morley and his crew are courteous, prompt and do a great job. Morley answered the phone himself within 3 rings the first time I called him and every time since. He shows up when he says he is going to. The job was done neatly and far above my expectations.There was no ridiculous attempt at an up-sell. Then cleaned up after themselves. Morley picked up the phone when I first called him and basically diagnosed my issue over the phone. We set up an appointment, and he came by and did great work at a reasonable cost. I first read about Plumber M.D. Ltd. on Homestars. After reading the stellar reviews somewhat skeptically, since I have had disappointing experiences with home renovation contractors in the past, I elected to call them. The initial intent was to have them come out and track down a leak that was, over time, causing some ceiling damage in my finished basement / walkout. However, from the moment they arrived, it was evident that I could at least try to entrust them with more work, so I asked them to prepare a quote for installing a new tub, shower, surrounds, and toilet; to find and fix the problematic leak; to pneumatically pressure test all pressure piping to 80 -100 psig; to hook up a furnace mounted humidifier; to rework the furnace flue gas piping so that it would be brought into compliance with the CSA B149.1 Code; and to replace the closet flange and wax seal on the upstairs toilet.

As they began the work, it became clear that my house, when initially constructed, fell short of Codes and good (even normal!) industry practice in every respect. The first four hours were spent jackhammering, excavating and removing approximately ten cubic feet of cement, gravel and earth in an effort to find the unmarked bathroom drain location. Most of that task was done by Morley personally - excavating by hand so as not to accidentally damage what he was looking for. Not once in that four hours was there any expression of frustration...he just told me he knew it was there and he'd find it. He did. The tie in was made and, with every bit of the care and attention to detail that went into the excavation, the backfill operation was reversed, hand and tool packed between lifts, and a completely new and cleanly refinished cement pour was left behind. The dust was vacuumed and collected by hand with a dustpan, as it was upon completion of every task they undertook. It was left as though they had never been there in the first place.

The rest of the work was done with an equal "pedal to the metal" approach. The problematic plumbing leak was the product of the initial home builder having incorrectly graded virtually every linear inch of drain piping in the house and then fitting it up poorly, often without gluing it together. It was atrocious. But Plumber M.D. fixed it all. What impressed me the most was their attitude towards the quality of their own work and their attention to fine details. At every turn, often they did things that would have been "good enough" for me, but it wasn't "good enough" for them - they wanted it to be "right". And they made it so.

In short, Plumber M.D. is not only the best plumbing contractor I have ever come across, but the best contractor, period. After seeing their work first hand, there is no way to give them a rating less than 10/10.

Morley was available for a quote the day I first called him. His price was fair and quality of work was great. The job included roughing in a bathroom in an old bedroom, breaking up concrete in the basement and updating the plumbing. We are very happy with Plumber MD and won't hesitate to call Morley for future jobs.
