I purchased two sets of chairs from Structube one set in 2013 and the other one in 2016. The chairs were totally normal and we didn't ask for any customization. We paid in full and we got them on-time as they said without any issue. Good experience.
Bought a great looking office chair from Structube in North York but upon bringing the chair home and putting it together with the arms it does not fit the standard desk height. Structube while it has great products has a terrible return policy and we were unable to return the chair after it had been assembled even if we were to take the chair apart. I want to support the store because I like their products so I am hoping the return policy has or will change.
I've shopped there once and will most likely not return. I have to admit, the service inside the store was very satisfying as with outside of the store. What really annoyed me was the constant delay, week after week, of my couch. My couch was delayed for a full month. That wasn't the biggest problem. I wasn't aware that I had to assemble the legs on the couch myself. Worst is, the frame of the legs did not fit the width of the couch. That was pain because I had to wait another week for just the frame to arrive.
As for the TV cabinet. It looked really nice...but that was it. The quality was not that good. The rails that the drawers sat on did not fit snuggly and overall it was just a poor quality product. Prices are very good compared to other modern furniture stores but the lack in quality explains that. I did not recommend this store to my parents for their new home.
I bought a double size Madison Bed. The Double size mattresses from Brick and Sleep Country are standard sizes and they do not fit this bed. I went back to Structube and the manager tried to convince me that the mattress is supposed to be in the middle of the bed with at least 1.5 inches space from each side (because according to him it's supposed to expose the BOTTOM woden frame).
The double mattress I have is standard and looks like its floating in the middle of the bed with about 2.5 inches empty space from each side, exposing the inner frame. Their display bed in store and on the website doesn't EXPOSE anything other than the white sides (no frame exposing).
Seriously, how can he even use that argument when the bed in the store is fine? Such disrespect for customers at 5233 Yonge St, North York location. I would NOT BUY FROM STRUCTUBE. The manager didn't even offer a reimbursement (at one point he laughed at my frustration and that of my mom's). I spent over 2000$ at that store. He kept clinging on to his argument that the mattress is supposed to be away from the sides of the bed...are you kidding me? The bed in THAT STORE and on the website doesn't have any space between the mattress and the sides, NONE (plus his argument makes no sense). It seems to fit snug and perfect. He then tried to tell me that double mattress and full mattress are two different things. How can you be a manager of a furniture store, sell beds and NOT know sizes? Eventually he admitted he doesn't know what he is talking about.
I called the BRICK and put them on speaker, they confirmed standard mattress sizes for full beds. At least now he is aware that there is no difference. I also suggested Google :)
I would NOT BUY from STRUCTUBE.
They delivered at the time they said they would, hey set-up a rather complicated dining set and they did all of this with a smile on their faces! It took about 2.5 hours and not a complaint was heard!
My initial experience with Structube was positive, the quality and design of the furniture were great for their price point, and their store staff were polite and helpful.
The problems started when I ordered a dining set with 6 Parsons chairs. After considerable time spent online and in the store, and taking a sample chair home, I returned to the store the next day only to find that the chairs I wanted weren't available for several months. There was no notice of this whatsoever on their website or from staff. I had already paid for a matching table and I asked for a refund. I was informed that they couldn't refund me at that time as it had to come from head office. I emailed their customer service department-they did not reply.
One thousand dollars and several hours later, I still have no dining set. Why is the customer forced to wait indefinitely for a refund due to Structube's own supply level errors? Why do they not have current availability information on their site and for their staff? Based on this experience, I would not shop there again.
