Gold Seal Caulking

Gold Seal did a great job. They were one of the few companies who actually removed all the old material before replacing it with new caulking. They were at our home on time. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I had been thinking about caulking my windows since 2010, and never could have made up my mind as who to use due to the concerns over the quality. Someone told me to use Homestars. I did and I found Gold Seal Caulking. After reading all the good reviews, I decided to meet up with Mike. Mike was very easy to work with. He gave me an impression that he would do a good job on my little project. I trusted my instinct and did not ask anybody else to come to my house for estimation. His team arrived on the day we agreed. The work was finished beautifully, and I have to mention that they did my side door and garage windows as well even though they were not part of the work scope. They did because Mike felt it would make my house look nice with same caulking! Thank you Mike!

I got 2 quotes for recaulking my 12 year old house. Gold Seal gave a much better price. Mike, the owner, was very pleasant to deal with. They came on the day promised and did an excellent job removing the old caulking and recaulking. I highly recommend Mike and his company.

Gold Seal Caulking did a great job!! I have an 8 year old home and had looked around for various companies to re-caulk my windows. After some research I made the decision to go with Gold Seal caulking for a few reasons:

1) Professionalism – Mike (the owner) was very easy to speak with. He is polite, professional and gives the overall impression that he will do a good job for you.
2) Pricing – Gold Seal Caulking pricing was very competitive not the least expensive, but not overpriced. I’m sure there are cheaper prices out there, but as the saying goes “you get what you pay for”.
3) Knowledgeable – Mike (the owner) took me through the process of how they would remove the old caulking which other companies claimed it wasn’t necessary. His explanation of when they would use a backer rod made total sense.
4) Responsiveness – Mike got back to me quickly within a day or in a few hours for any questions I had.
5) The feedback I read on Homestars was really good, the unbiased opinion of homeowners really help with the decision making process
6) Specialized – Caulking is what they do. It’s not a side job or a part time gig. This is the business they are in.

On the day of the job, they arrived in the morning and they finished in the early afternoon. The windows look great along with all the other areas you don’t realize needed caulking i.e. vents, vent pipes, door frames etc. The “lines” were clean and the crew made sure no debris or mess was left. After the job was done, Mike provided his written guarantee, his invoice and told me to call him if I had any problems. That same day I accidently stepped on the caulking around the door frame and made a mess of it. I called Mike and true to his word fixed the area where I stepped.

I have recommended this company to my neighbours and would use them again.

Michael followed up the evening before to confrim the job. He and his partner arrived on time and ready to go. He explanined the process, the materials he was using and answered the last few questions I had.

I have recommended him to neighbours who viewed his work and have already had him do work for them.

We hired Gold Seal to re-caulk our home in Oakville. Michael quoted us fair and helped us understand the whole process a bit more. The job was carried out on time and completed when said.

The outcome of the work was great, far beyond what we expected. I did have a lot of questions as they were working since I have no knowledge with this type of work and the guys from Gold Seal were courteous and patient with answering all my questions. I watched them work and realized I was quite glad I hired them, they took full care into every step they did - from the removal of the old material, to the installation of the new caulking. Not one step seemed rushed and it showed in the end result. We are very happy with the overall job they did.
