Service technician Joe, arrived right on time. Joe, immediately began addressing the problem with our washing machine. Joe, repaired the problem in 20 minutes. Joe explained the problem and remedy in detail. Joe also gave us advice on how to perform a few preventive measures to keep our appliances running smoothly. Thanks Joe, you are a true professional.

From calling customer service to technician coming to the house to look at issue with the dryer, the service was outstanding, Fast and efficient.

Would highly recommend Waterloo Appliance to anyone! The technician Matt who came out was very kind, knowledgeable and upfront about the repair. Our dishwasher was acting up and was leaving water at the bottom after a couple loads so I called in and Matt came out and diagnosed it as a drain pump. He let me know this was a very common issue with dishwashers and that it would take very little time for the part to come in. I went ahead with the estimate provided and the very next day the receptionist called and booked me in saying the part had already arrived! He was able to come out within a few days and installed the part.
Ive had a few different companies out for various appliances before and I have never had a better experience! They will be the only company I will use from here on out.

A year ago we had a fridge problem and called one of those 24/7 repair services with a fancy website. Their guy came and said the compressor and mainboard were fine, we just had dirty coils, and the problem was now solved. But it wasn't. He came back a second time and now said we needed a new compressor and coils.

That's when we concluded we needed a second opinion, and contacted Waterloo Appliance Service (which does not have a fancy website). Their technician James came and spent much more time than the other guy, explained everything he was doing and why, and correctly identified the problem (the mainboard).

This weekend, we had a problem with our stove. Waterloo Appliance Service is only open on weekdays, but it's totally worth waiting for them. Their technician Jason came and guessed what the problem was, discovered he was exactly right, and had brought the necessary replacement part with him. Like James, he was also a pleasure to talk with: friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

I called Waterloo Appliance to fix a leaky freezer. The technician arrived at the appointment, spent about half an hour, and claimed to have resolved the problem. The total cost for the service call was $145.77.

A few hours later, the problem returned. The technician returned and found that he had missed the original problem. Waterloo Appliance subsequently charged me an additional $155.94.

I spoke with Andrew, the service manager on duty, and explained that this second fee felt excessive, since the technician had missed the problem the first time he visited. Andrew stated that he thought this was a fair charge.

Ultimately, I payed $300 for a technician to pour hot water down a clogged drain.

I recommended Waterloo Appliance repair to a friend who had been using a different company. My friend was so happy! The tech realized what the problem was from the description on the phone and sent someone out. The washing machine was fixed in 20 minutes without the usual cursing and swearing the other company usually provided!
I strongly recommend giving them a try. They are professionals and keep my old appliances working on my budget!

So took me 3mths to get washer repair the first time through another company, it broke the day after repair. I called Waterloo appliance repair to see about parts as it was a door lock that broke. They were polite and efficient ordering them in. The door still did not lock called back on Wednesday after trying what they told me to, to make an appointment to be looked at. They booked appt for the Tuesday after the long weekend which was extremely quick. I received a call today saying they had time and the repair man would be there right away....poof problem solved.. they were reasonably priced so thank you Waterloo Appliances Repair!!

We called for service on our microwave which had completely stopped working. The service person brilliantly analyzed the situation and amazingly had the exact part for us in his vehicle. It was a major circuit board with display and control buttons, basically the control centre for the microwave. He replaced the board and our microwave was just like new and continues to run perfectly.
The lightbulb that illuminates the area until the microwave burned out. It is a tiny, unusual 40 watt bulb not sold by any regular stores in the area. We called Waterloo Appliance Service. They asked for the model number of our microwave and in less than a minute they said they had four of them in stock. We drove up to their business and they put four of the bulbs in a little cart just in front of their business so we could get curbside pickup in this time of Covid19 pandemic. Amazing!!

First visit, service technician determined that the control board needed replacing . The freezer was icing up. But the problem reappeared 3-4 weeks later, another control board installed under warranty. Problem appeared again in 4 -5 weeks. I called a couple of moths later but was told the call was out of the warranty period. So now I defrost every 4-5 weeks.
Their service and hourly rates are high.
